Easiest to install, my new favorite locks
I was hesitant to use any safety thing that’s adhesive, however these are now my favorite cabinet/drawer locks. The install is just brilliant and so incredibly easy. I did the entire set of these in less than 15 minutes, upstairs and downstairs. They function very well and I love the twist to unlock/lock feature. The amount I got for this price did every drawer and cabinet I needed to secure. Absolutely worth it. They seem strong so far, and we’ll see with time how the adhesive holds up, BUT they come with screws and holes in the brackets if the adhesive fails and you need screws. I didn’t see this when I bought them and I’m very happy that option exists if I need to use screws on them in the future. I’d 100% buy these again.

Simple setup and actually works with our cabinets
Works really well. Setup is as easy as it could be, and the adhesive holds strong. We’ve tried a few different brands, but this is one of the only ones that actually fits and works with our cabinets. It looks clean and doesn’t get in the way.

Definitely will keep out the kids, and some adults.
Adhesive is crazy strong, like maybe too strong. I had to scrub and scrub with goof off to get it off the cabinets. But that’s not technically a bad thing.Toddler definitely cannot open it, sometimes I can’t. I don’t think this is a good idea if you have dexterity issues or arthritis, I find myself having to push pretty hard sometimes to open it.The bad thing is that I had one on my sink cabinet that I used several times a day, and it snapped off after just two months probably. I don’t think i was being too aggressive with it, either, it just snapped. I’m not going to take off two stars since otherwise it does what it’s supposed to do and will definitely not let my kid in the cabinet. I also like that it can be locked or unlocked like when I have company over so they don’t have to bother with the locks or anything.

Child cabinet locks
I have purchased these for every home I’ve lived in (and grandparents) homes. They are good quality, can be set to lock or stay unlocked depending on your need. Making them perfect for a busy kitchen or family member’s homes you visit less often.I’ve also removed them from a rental. Use a hair dryer and they come off well.

Follow the directions closely
Bought these to make my apartment safer for my toddler. They stuck on great for about 5 months but then began to come off. However I did not prep the surface as recommended so that probably did make some difference. They aren’t the easiest to install correctly so your cabinets close nicely so beware of that. It was likely somewhat her error. I would buy them again but make sure to follow the directions very very closely.

Awful-just, awful
Honestly, I’m not sure what the best solution is for child locks for drawers at this point, but I figured that buying a reputable brand like Safety1st and spending a good amount of money on two boxes to do my kitchen would do the trick. Spoiler alert: it didn’t. This kit comes with sticky pads as well as screws to secure the locks onto your drawers and cabinetry. The sticky pad options are a joke, as a simple pull on the drawers is enough to rip the pad right off and it’ll never stick properly again. Furthermore, you need a decent amount of space in each cabinet/drawer to install the locks otherwise you will have quite a bit of overhang. I secured as many of these with screws as possible, but I have cabinets that were from 2003 and the countertop is not flush with the top of the drawers but rather has a small overhang. This in turn made it impossible to secure the locks with screws in 70% of my drawers and even the ones I was able to use screws on would still break under moderate use. In addition, the overhang of the countertop made it quite painful to reach into the drawer to push down on the locking mechanism in order to unlock it, so I found myself sticking a wooden flat spatula into the opening to disengage the lock which was absolutely absurd. I’ve seen the magnet locks before and I’m tempted to try purchasing a set to give them a try, but my wife and I were afraid of losing the magnet(s) and being locked out of our drawers which is why we initially decided on this set. Lastly, the locking mechanism takes up a significant amount of space in your drawers which cuts down on how much you can actually store in the drawers, defeating a big reason for the drawer’s usage in the first place. Overall, a terrible product which was not very easy to install and didn’t even work well when installed.

Works well but some didn’t
I know this is a popular brand that everyone gets. This is a good product, out of 12, two of them loss the stickiness I tried putting back but it didn’t work. When I did the return process for Amazon, it gave me the option to call the company for support and maybe they can replace just the two locks that didn’t work. But unfortunately I had to take off all the locks and send them back if I wanted a full replacement. Why would I want to take off all the locks and return them and have to do the process over when you have a toddler going through the house? So you would just have to buy more and more boxes of these locks just in case the stickiness goes out or if they break. Doesn’t make sense, you would think they would want to replace just a small number so you didn’t have to unprotect your household. Three stars for brand and lack of support.

Great child locks!
I found these cabinet locks 5 years ago and they are a constant rebuy! They last forever, super easy to install and my 7 year old son still can’t get past them! They have been on my cabinets for 5 years and still haven’t gotten loose! I buy them for all the expecting parents I know.

These do not work if the cabinet is under a counter with an overhand, or under a drawer with a thick front. The door doesn’t open enough to get your finger inside and push the latch down. Save yourself the hassle of having to scrape all the adhesive off if your kitchen is like mine.
