Great Quality for the Price!
These Amazon Basics cotton washcloths are a great buy. They’re soft, a good size, and not too thick — perfect for everyday use. After washing them, they came out looking nice with no fraying or shrinking. For the price, the quality is honestly better than I expected. Definitely worth it!

Unbeatable value and quality
These are surprisingly nice washcloths, especially for the price! They laundered nicely and had very little lint in the dryer. They are very soft as well and don’t feel rough at all the way a cheap washcloth does. I did not use fabric softener and I don’t plan to. They are well made and moderately thick. The 12” size stated in the description is likely a nominal size, these actuality measured 11 1/2” before washing and I measured all sides for squareness, and after washing they measured 11 1/4” on all sides, so there was minimal shrinkage and it was consistent to maintain the shape. I got Ice Blue and the color is beautiful. These will get a lot of use in our house.

I am a MAN, and I like it rough!
Truthfully, I am NOT a fan of girly and soft washcloths. I am a MAN, and I like it rough! LLLOOOOLLL!!!! Okay, okay, okay. Okay? I digress. That’s just me, man. I like to know that my pores are being tended to in the utmost way, and I love the knowledge that, if I don’t apply lotion to my body within 5 minutes after evacuating the shower, I’ll be more ashy than the contents of an urn. These are not the ones for that type of experience. I will say that these washcloths are not the type that will degrade over time. They are very soft, quite absorbent and hold a lot of suds (which the rough and worn ones will not do). They can even be used to gently tackle a mess on your countertop or just to wipe down the sink. The issue with the hard ones is that they aren’t thick enough in the first place, and they just break down into nothing, winding up in your dryer’s lint screen. These are the type that you’ll find in a hotel. They are not preshrunk… so when you dry them in your dryer after washing them in your washing machine, they will get a little smaller. I like the variety of colors, too. (=These truly aren’t for me; more so for guests in my home or for kitchen use, if it comes down to it. For the price, the colors, the quality (although not for MY skin), I give these 4 stars.I hope this helps you in making your purchase. I enjoy writing these reviews because they’re SO subjective, but it’s my truth. No one (else) is going to have the same exact experience with anything, because we’re all different. These wash cloths are far better than I had expected. They’re well-made, with all seams finished nicely. They’re thicker than I anticipated. These are used daily here and laundered after each use. I waited several weeks before reviewing because I wanted to see how well they would hold up with daily use and frequent laundering. I have absolutely zero complaints with these wash cloths. Well worth the price. Five Stars.

Multi-Purpose Money Saver!
UPDATE (4 months of regular use): The color retention isn’t mentioned in the description but now that I’ve had an opportunity to test them for a few months of 2x per week washing, I have some good news. The purple washcloths are now more of a lavender (more like the color in the ad) and are just as soft and well-composed as when I bought them. The only strings I’ve seen are from me ripping the tags off with my hands – I don’t have time for scissors. 🙃 I also don’t wash as directed, I wash on high with warm water and have not been nice to them at all. Do you enjoy finding out you have spent $50 on 24 “luxury” towels only to find they don’t absorb anything, are poorly sewn, and like to rip/fall apart in the WASH when they’re not even being used? Yeah, me either. That has been my experience with two other companies, and given the reprehensible customer service experience I was ready to cut my losses and go to Walmart for junky, pilly rags that last a month at best. It appeared my efforts to eradicate wasteful paper towel spending had been thwarted. Then, my unnecessarily frugal (cheap) heart was spared! I bought these for washing and drying my face as I have struggled with acne and wanted to be able to use a fresh cloth every time to minimise bacteria.The pack has a great amount of cloths so I am never short even though I use at least 2 per day.I have washed them multiple times and they still look brand new, the colours are really nice and have stayed fresh – even the white has washed up well after having coloured face masks etc on them.They are very nice and soft on your face and look and feel more expensive than they are. So far they are a great quality product to me for a great price.
