Pleasantly surprised!
When I ordered this, I was fully prepared to return if I didn’t like it or if I had similar issues to some of the other reviews; safe to say I did not return it! I have the Fisher Price purple monkey piano mat (IYKYK) which is great but is too narrow for littles to work on rolling or sitting while reaching. Enter this mat! It’s very soft, about 1/2 of padding when compressed, easy to assemble, and far higher quality than I expected. I appreciate the high contrast for newborn development and the different “tasks” of the areas which gives younger kids (newborns) something “new” and allows for increased engagement as they get older (6+ mo). Instructions included made for easy and quick assembly. I don’t put ours away but the nesting configuration of the support bars would allow for fairly quick storage. It’s lightweight enough to easily relocate as needed, spit up wipes up similarly to other play mats, etc. Only thing I might change is having more toys for all the holes present and possibly different notches incorporated for attaching other toys that don’t come with the mat as I can’t attach some of the toys I’d like to due to the narrow, coin-like shape of the holes for securing the toys; just makes me get creative or pick a different toy. Would definitely recommend to another parent as it’s serving its purpose of allowing my 4 month old to engage with toys overhead or seated (supported) while still giving him room to practice rolling. Included pic of only flaw noted. Have had for about 2 weeks with use multiple times/day by both my youngest and my 2 year old, so currently holding up to all levels of play😅Update around 1 month: had to dock a star as my toddler very lightly fell into it and one of the support arms snapped like a twig. Not sure how to make the arms more sturdy, but maybe not out of glued together plywood as others have mentioned lol.

Would buy again!
This is super cute and looks nice in my living room. I wanted something that was cute and attractive, but blended well with house decor. The pad that comes with this is a nice cushion, it’s soft and flat and provide support without being too much for my infant. The wood play gym is easy to build and sort of collapses to store flat if needed. The little toys slide in and you can move them around. My daughter loves looking at it!

My dauther is having fun with it. And it is good that ghe wooden part can be removed and put somewhere else, so that a child can play with it even when sitting in a balancer for example.

Great piece of kit but it would be great if the hanging objects could be a bit lower, so the baby could touch them
