This unit is easy to set up, connects easily with the Govee app, and meshes with other Govee devices via Bluetooth. The WiFi also allows it to work as a standalone unit, making the readings available remotely via the smartphone app. The e-ink display makes it easy to read, and has even better clarity and contrast when compared to a typical LCD display (which it mimicks with its seven-segment appearance). The sensors respond quickly. Even picking this unit up for a moment induces a change on the readings.The Govee app provides access to historical data, with trend graphs and the capability of downloading the data. Works very well as a WiFi connected thermometer.
We bought this when we were going on a trip in the Winter so we could monitor the house temperature. The unit has a number of fancy features like keeping a record of temperatures and also monitoring humidity, but we just use it for one function – spot checking the temperature, while traveling and it performs this function flawlessly via the associated app.Installation consisted of inserting a battery, and connecting to the WiFi, and then registering it with the app, all of which was pretty uneventful. Subsequent use is just as easy – open the app, look at the temperature and then close the app.The n=unit seems to be accurate as well, registering temperatures +- half a degree relative to our home thermostat.

Essential Coop Upgrade for Hot Climates
We use these in our chicken run to keep an eye on the heat and humidity. They’re accurate, easy to read, and sync seamlessly with the app . It’s helped us know exactly when to kick the fans on for the flock. We’ve already bought five—worth every penny for peace of mind and happy birds. It’s small enough I can place it easily – but the text is large enough I can see it well across the run.It has no problems connecting to our wifi and I love that it syncs with smart devices. It’s not weatherproof – but it does well in our completely covered run where it’s sheltered from rain and direct elements

Useful for monitoring the heat system while you travel, or in outbuildings
I was already using Govee leak detectors, and decided to stick with the same brand for a wifi thermometer so that I could stick to a single app. Setup was quick and easy, and the device is working well. You have the option to have the device send data every 10 min, 30 min, or 1 hour with the tradeoff being battery life. I am using this to notify me if the heater stops working in a detached building before it reaches freezing temperatures in the winter, so I have mine set to a 1hr refresh rate with a low temperature alarm at 40 degrees. I’ve got a wireless router in that building, so I haven’t thoroughly tested the wifi range.

Great item, easy to use and connect!
In terms of connectivity it was great, just what I needed to watch the overnight temps in the sunroom for the plants, very easy connection with Alexa.Unfortunately, the display no longer works, it’s frozen on one set of readings. It won’t reset, and removing batteries does nothing.Unfortunate.EDIT: I was contacted by Govee the manufacturer after the above review. Despite being out of the return window, they sent a new unit immediately, which was unexpected and for which I’m grateful – given the defect was the reason for the initial review, I’ve now changed it.

Excellent product
This thermometer/hydrometer has been excellent! I use it to keep an eye on the temperature in my 5th wheel while I’m away to ensure my cats are comfortable. I have had it over a month and it has worked perfectly. As far as battery life it has only lost one bar on the battery meter, at that rate it should be at least 4 months before they need replacing. Highly recommend this item! Only reason it loses a star is because when I dropped it and the batteries fell out, it didn’t save the wifi settings, so looks like everytime you change the batteries wifi will have to be set back up.
