I purchased these for my daughter shortly after the birth of her son (we didn’t know he planned to come early). I had been looking for something similar to what I used when she was a baby and came across these. LOVE them! They are soft on the top and are waterproof underneath to avoid soiling when you are forced to change diapers on the seat of the car or Grandma’s new couch. They are also easily folded to fit in a diaper bag. They are much nicer than the nylon type that come with new diaper bags as that they are soft AND leakproof. I even bought some for my neighbor’s new grandchild. Easy to wash and the price is perfect. The only problem I had is that when they are dried in the dryer they shrink just a bit and don’t lay perfectly flat due to the edging. I would advise air-drying… maybe drape them across the shower curtain rod or hang them on the line. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like they curled into a bowl, they just weren’t PERFECTLY flat. I just received my second set so that I could send some home with my daughter (I kept the first ones here). I would suggest getting the smaller ones for home and the larger ones for the diaper bag (If you are like us, you have a towel or something covering the changing table at home and only need the 13×17 there for the lower extremities. The larger ones are better for changing on public changing stations and insuring their entire body is on it). NOTE: If the child is a boy and you aren’t prepared to protect yourself you may want to order as large as you can get because we all know how they aim.

Perfect size and absorbancy
I used to use disposable pads at 0-3mo, then started using the munchkin ones. My LO peed on one after I removed her diaper, and I somehow expected the munchkin ones to semi-absorb the mess… but NO. It leaked straight through the bottom of the mat and what didn’t get soaked, pooled off and around the mat. This was my cue to get a new changing pad or switch back to disposables. I luckily found these and it has been amazing. They’re big enough so that my husband doesn’t worry about making a mess when changing LO, they’re absorbant enough so that it’ll hold whatever’s on there until you can reach the sink without spilling anything, and they’re soft. They wash really well too!I wasn’t a fan of the design at first, but now I like it. It’s different enough from anything else we have that LO recognizes it! When I lay it out on the floor, LO knows to crawl onto it and get a diaper change. I keep 2 in a changing basket in the living room, and 1 in the bedroom.

Writing this on my husband’s Amazon account. My son gets feed via GT overnight, so very often his diapers leak. Sometimes he vomits. This has saved us from 100s of middle of the night sheet changing episodes. We wash and reuse them constantly and they continue to perform with no leaking. Plus they are soft. No crinkly mattress protector needed. They are worth every penny.
