Compact and lightweight
This is not a bad drying rack if you only need to use it once in a while. It is compact and folds up easily. It was also very easy to put together. The bars can easily be installed and easily taken out. This could be a pro for some, and a con for others. I personally don’t like that they come off so easily. Taking them out does not affect it, but I really can’t think of a use case scenario where I would need to remove some.The way it stays upright is that there are two connecting parts on the very top. As long as they stay in place, it will not collapse. As others have mentioned, there is no adjusting the height or depth. There is only one connecting position and that is fully extended. When it is extended out to make it wider, it seems to be pretty stable. It will wobble and teeter a bit, but does not fall over. I’m sure if I hit or push it enough, it would tip over, but under normal use, surprisingly it stays up quite well.So far, I have not seen any rust issues but will update if it happens.

So easy to assemble, my 7-year-old did it while I ate breakfast. The only thing that was off is that if you extend the horizontal bars as wide as they’ll go, the angled top piece won’t be long enough to connect to its braces. So it can’t really be used at its fully extended width, unless you want to use it without the angled top piece. It holds a lot of stuff, is a great price, and the quality is kind of mid. Takes up very little space when it is folded up fully.

Expendable, Expanding Metal Drying Rack
This was not an open the box and use it item. It has to be assembled. It is awkward to put up and take down. It is okay, and serviceable. The length expands but I found it awkward; you have to pull at the rods from the top, middle and bottom. It isn’t done in one smooth movement. Definitely pricey. It may suit your needs and space requirements, but for me, I’ll use this until I find something better suited to my needs and quality expectations.

This drying rack was exactly what I hoped for—lightweight, functional, and genuinely easy to assemble. Did I get a dud? Very difficult to assemble.
I’ve been waiting to write a review on this until I could get it assembled, but at this point, I’ve given up and figured that alone is worth the. I read other reviews and how people reported that was very easy to assemble and one person even said that the bars go in and out too easily that that could be a negative. I don’t know if I got a dud, but mine is very difficult to assemble. I am not an old lady, but someone in my 50s who has some arthritis in my hands and for the life of me cannot get the bars to go into the plastic holes to construct this drying rack— almost like the bars are too wide for the holes. I’m not a weakling and I tried different ways to get the bars in, but nothing worked, and my drying rack remains unassembled. Will wait until I can get someone to help me, but I figured I would post this review for anyone who might be in a similar situation and don’t have the strongest hands. I don’t necessarily think it’s because of my arthritis, though, and do think there might be something off with my particular unit. Bummer.
