Would make a great gift for the little ones, who enjoy music. Can’t wait to see the look on my little ones face. He loves things that make him smile , and his smile makes my heart sing.

Mish-mash of toys for a variety of child ages
Pros:+ xylophone was one thing we were looking for+ whack-a-mole is learning cause and effect, physical leverage+ gears are good too for cause and effect, as well as rotational geospatial awarenessCons:- the carrots are probably fine for a baby to handle, but the worms are a bit too small than we’re comfortable with for our baby (choking hazard). Our baby is on the low end of the age group for this, but our baby is also 95th+ percentile height and weight bracket. Assuming we’re talking about average sized babies, I’d consider these worms a choking hazard for babies under 3 or even 4.- no storage functionality for the sticks or hammers. Lots of these kinds of toys have a spot or holders or something to store the extra parts and they don’t get lost. We put the worms in the bag, left those on the shelf, and slide the sticks and hammers into the worm holes.Maybes:~ it’s really a mish-mash of toys for a variety of child ages. This means if you have multiple kids or are getting it for a mixed age playroom/daycare or church group or something, they can all get something out of it. If you only have 1 kid, they’re going to get bored of it long before they will play with some of the features. For example, most kids don’t learn analog clocks until age 6+. And by then, the other faces are kinda boring for a kid, so at least 2 faces of this are out of place. And as I mentioned above, the worms are a bit small for babies.~ the xylophone is not exactly a precision instrument here, but I’m pretty sure the scale is slightly off.So overall it’s not bad, but still has a little room for improvement.

Not all pop-up groundhogs work & magnets are exposed if you need to be concerned about that.
I guess I got what I paid for it (on sale), so it’s okay but my two biggest issues with it are:1. The magnets on the worms & the bird are exposed so I’m concerned about them coming unglued or popping out and my baby swallowing them since he’s young enough to still put things in his mouth.2. Two of the seesaw mechanisms for the groundhog looking toys on top are either broken or loose. When you pop one side up, they don’t really stay up & both pieces on the mechanism are hovering at the same height because it’s not weighted or something to stay up/down. Baby still enjoys taking the carrots out of the top for now and slowly learning to use the xylophone.

    Great Montessori toy
This 6-in-1 Montessori Toy with Xylophone & Whack A Mole toy is a great toy for toddlers. One side has a xylophone and the other has turning gears, the two end sides have a frog clock with moveable arms. The top has worms that can be picked up with a bird (magnetic), carrots that can be placed into holes and the whack a mole when hitting them on one side the matching one will pop up on the other side. This will give a long time of entertainment. The toy comes with 2 wooden hammers for whack a mole and 2 wooden sticks for the xylophone. This is a great toy for learning and practicing coordination. The wood is smooth, and the paint is bright and colorful. Size is perfect.Cons: The little “worms” and the bird that can “grab” the worms have small magnets on them. I have been unsure about them and how well the magnet may stay put on them that I have removed them for now with my nephew only being one he still puts a lot of things in his mouth so we will wait to use this part of the toy once things are not always being put into his mouth.Item being reviewed:6-in-1 Montessori Toy with Xylophone & Whack A Mole for 12M+ Baby, Wooden Activity Cube for 1 2 3 4 5 Year Old Toddlers, Hammering Pounding Toy, Multipurpose Educational Boy/Girl Gift (First Birthday)

    My kids new favorite toy
I have bought many toys like this, one from Melissa and dough that was just the color wack a mole game. Multiple different activity cubes that resemble this one, however none have really entertained my kids. This one was a huge hit! I was really surprised they liked it as much as they did. I think it’s because it has so much to do, it has the wack a mole game that my two year old loved, it came with two mallets so it was a good game for him to play with his brother. My three year old had the most fun with the little bird, it has a magnet that you can pull the little worms out with. And then the xylophone was also really fun for them, the carrots were cute, and the fidget gears on the side were fun, It also has a clock on both sides so overall it really was a great toy for kids to play together with. I love it when I find a good sharing toy that doesn’t make my kids fight over turns. This was a huge hit and kept them entertained way longer than I expected. They have also been playing with it for days without getting bored.

if you play with it too rough, things get stuck
This is a fun little toy for toddlers, but there is one significant issue. If said, toddlers older siblings, get a hold of them, it’s likely they may hammer the worm design for fishing into the hole so far it can’t be retrieved. That happened in my case, my seven year-old son hit one of the worms in and now we can’t get it out. He learned his lesson so fingers crossed he doesn’t do it again.I only gave us a 3 to 5 because it’s possible to get the items stuck to the point they can’t be removed. When I recommend this toy to a friend or family member? Probably. I would stress that they don’t hit things too hard or have older kids abuse it but overall, I think the toddlers enjoy it.
