    Winter must-have
I don’t know how we’d get by without this.Living in Boston with a newborn this winter has been tough! But we use this for stroller walks in the freezing cold, the car seat, and in her bassinet for cozy naps. My baby loves it and it’s so easy to clean. I only need to dress my baby in a few light layers and a hat, even when it’s freezing, because this is so warm and effective.

    So warm!
I absolutely love this car seat blanket! I used it for my baby and have given it as a gift to other expecting Moms. The blanket is not only great quality and does an amazing job at keeping babies warm, even in brutal Chicago winters! The blanket is a much safer option because babies do not need to wear any other coat that would inhibit the security of the car seat safety belts. It has a removable back that allows the belts of the car seat to be placed securely over baby without compromising their safety or their warmth. Believe me when I tell you my baby was toasty warm in this blanket!

Too warm for our purpose but great product
This product is super warm, soft and easy to use. That being said, we purchased this for use with our car seat/bassinet of the Uppa Baby Cruz for our 2 month old for walks and car trips. For this purpose, because the baby is in the Nido while also either in the car or under a covering (bassinet) it was too warm and we returned it because he was sweating so badly in it after only 15 minutes. If he was in the stroller with this in the open air in the seat attachment, it would be better. We plan on purchasing the 7am Enfant foot muff next winter instead because of this since he will no longer need something also for the car seat and we liked the product line in general.

but still fits good & should work next winter too
This is in the top 5 things I’ve purchased since having my baby 4 months ago. It is warm enough for the Minnesota winters and safe for the car seat. I put it on after my daughter is buckeled in and there is no fuss. I purchased a large, so it is a little large, but still fits good & should work next winter too. Love this product! I never write reviews but want to tell folks who live in very cold climates- this is totally needed, safe and worth it!

    Fantastic for COLD weather
This product is really great for super cold Wisconsin winters. I would actually say it should only be used in temps below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and if you use it in the car, don’t heat up the cat too much, or plan to remove or open this cover up to avoid a hot, sweaty baby. The only two downsides of this product are: it is sized, so you may need multiples depending on your baby’s growth during the winter, and the down stuffing gets bunched in much the same way a down blanket does. So, you need to shake it out and manually rearrange the stuffing so that it isn’t bunched.Although those two thugs are annoying, the benefit of an actually WARM car seat cover far outweighs those issues in my opinion.

One of my favorite baby products, but it has a few imperfections
This is, by far, one of the best purchases I made for my son whose first winter was the snowiest on record in New England. It is one of the few products I have been recommending as a “must have” to my friends expecting babies now, and something I would purchase again in a heartbeat for another baby if ours was not available for some reason.I purchased this when my son was just under six months old since a blanket and hat just weren’t cutting it in the cold anymore, and we used until through the coldest part of winter until he was about nine months old. I am a stickler for car seat safety, and until I found this, I was very frustrated by the lack of safe, warm, easy options for infant car seat covers. Prior to finding this, we tried the Jolly Jumper Arctic shower cap-type cover which I disliked because I felt like it left my son’s whole chest exposed and was not a good substitute for a coat (though I think it would have worked better for a younger, and thus shorter, baby.) I also opened but later returned the Eddie Bauer cover (which is similar to the ubiquitous sleeping bag-type Bundlerme cover in that it goes behind the child) because it was too bulky behind my baby’s back and therefore not safe.Things I like about it:1) It really is a coat substitute. I could dress my baby in a onesie and cottony pants, wrap him in this, and we would be good to go. I so appreciated that we could get out of the house quickly without having to deal with multiple layers. It also worked great when we were doing errands as I didn’t have to disturb my son to take off any layers, we just undid the Velcro and opened up the wrap.2) The gathered hood area near the head end works well as a hat. It was great not to have to keep track of another article of clothing. This really is all in one outerwear.3) This is a really innovative product, and as far as I’m aware, there is nothing else like it on the market. I really appreciate unique products that address gaps in a market, and kudos to this company for coming up with such a great idea.4) This product was easy to put on my baby. The Car Seat Lady has a video on Youtube showing two different methods of putting the wrap on, one before the baby is in the seat and the other after the baby is already strapped in. I preferred the latter method and found it super easy to get him nice and snug then slip the hole over his head and pull through his legs.5) Most importantly, this product is safe. There are some pretty concerning videos online in which people snap their kids into a carseat using a sleeping bag-type cover, then remove the cover, strap their child in again, and show how much slack is in the straps. This seems especially worrisome given that a rear-facing child is going to move up against the shoulder straps in a crash, and could therefore easily slip right between the straps and fly out of the carseat if there is too much slack. With all that being said and keeping in mind the fact that I do love this product, there are some drawbacks. Some of these I think should actually be addressed to improve the product while I clearly recognize that others are just my own preferences.1) This thing makes baby HOT. I tend to feel like people complain to much about babies getting sweaty in car seats (it’s the price you pay for having easily cleanable fabric) and I also don’t have a particularly sweat baby, but my little guy would literally come out of this soaked through and with his hair dripping wet. We figured out we could avoid this but undoing the wrap and putting the hood away from his head once the car started to warm up. The product is make of a synthetic fleece on the inside and a non-breathable, water resistant outer layer, and while these provide warmth and some protection against the elements, I would love to see this made with more breathable materials.2) I don’t love the sizing on this product. On one hand, I definitely think it needs to be a sized product because (while I haven’t tried it) I think that the larger size would be way too much fabric around a newborn’s face and could be dangerous. Clearly most people would be able to get through the four or so coldest months of winter with one size, but I would want to use a product that is this expensive with any other kids I have down the road. I find it a bit aggravating I could potentially need to spend another $60+ on the small size at some point. Also, we used the older version of the Britax B-safe carseat, and the hole in this wrap was not big enough to use with the shoulder straps in the highest position. While it worked out okay for us because it started to warm up at that point, I again really expect that I am going to be able to use a product that is this expensive until my child outgrows his carseat. Clearly the whole point of this is product is to not have any fabric behind the child, but I also think it could be made a lot more versatile in terms of fitting more sizes by having an area you could zip or unzip around the crotch strap of the car seat that would allow the wrap to fit a larger child or to be more snug around a smaller child.3) I think there are some issues with construction. I find that the filling gets uneven in the same way it would in a down blanket, much of it traveling down to the bottom part of the wrap that goes over the child’s legs. Therefore, I wish this were quilted into squares so the filling didn’t travel. I also found that the two small strips of Velcro often didn’t hold well because the wrap around it is so puffy, Perhaps a square of Velcro or snaps would have worked better. Finally, I personally just don’t love the outer layer. It has a shiny look that I don’t care for which made me glad I got the navy instead of the black because I fear the latter would have looked too much like a trash bag. The outer fabric also seems rather delicate and prone to ripping though we luckily haven’t had this problem yet.In short, I love it but it could be even better. In my mind, it was definitely some of the best money I spent on baby products.

    Hair in packaging?
I received this product with hairs in the packaging and what looks like some sort of water damage to the label

Keeps my baby warm and toasty in New England
My daughter was born in late October, and this has been great for use in her carseat and her stroller. It wraps up around her beautifully, and since we haven’t had a lot of snow yet this year, only cold, it’s been a timesaver, since we don’t have to bundle her up as much to go from place to place. Definitely worth it!

  9. Ashley Eisen

It’s so easy to use and keeps your little ones so warm. It’s easy to unwrap and keep them buckled up when indoors. Only wish the Velcro was a bit bigger.

  10. Juan José Franklin

La foto es muy engañosa, no deja ver que el producto tiene un orificio redondo enorme en medio (supongo que para hacerlo caber en alguna carreola o algo así), el material es sumamente resbaloso. No lo recomiendo.

  11. Danielle

Amazing product!! The size small is for 0-6months max. This was used every single day of the winter.’amazing to go in a car or a store and easily open it up so baby doesn’t get too hot. Super snug, excellent quality, washes AMAZINGLY. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!! A bit trickier as they get older to get them into the car seat with this blanket in there but well worth it once they are in.

  12. Christin Metz

Absolutely perfect. This worked to keep my son warm all winter. It washes very nice. Would highly recommend to anyone that has a baby during the winter months, made my life simpler and kept my baby warm and comfy.

  13. Caroline

Really love this. It’s so cozy and warm and makes it really easy to get your baby from the car to pram and back again all wrapped up and warm.
