First of all, this is a nice playmat. It’s one of the least expensive 100% cotton ones and it has adorable embroidery of a hedgehog. Yes it’s embroidered not just printed on the fabric. I’m giving it five stars because babies can’t read.Those who can read will not be able to help laughing, because the text on the playmat says “Little AYQH.” The ad photo does not show the AYQH part. This must be some mistake at the non-English-speaking factory (the seam tag on it is all Chinese), or maybe the Chinese domestic market embraces products with nonsense foreign text on them? Somewhat likely to be the latter! Your family can decide what it means. I think it may have been custom-crafted for little Anastasia Yolanda Quinn-Higggins but accidentally wound up in the Amazon warehouse. And who is that? Well, be creative. Your family can decide the whole backstory. It has bedtime story material written all over it. The possibilities are so much more endless than if it said something normal on it.This is so, so easy to put together with fabric loops and ties. The base is full of fluffy, breathable poly batting. The arches are foam covered in the same sort of cotton. The little dangle critters are really cute in a sort of homemade way, I like that about them, and likewise your family can decide what they are. This item is about as safe as could be.So, it is a five star baby play gym, right? I wish it cost a little bit less, but I think it DOES cost less than similar quality 100% cotton ones.I recommend it, IF your family or intended gift recipient has a sense of humor and/or would enjoy coming up with an explanation for why it says that.

I really like the quality of construction of this baby play gym and activity mat. The colors are natural, being navy with the fox design and appliqué.There is one very large thing that was not expected and I don’t particularly like. It seems to be left out / blurred/ or photos taken from a different angle to prevent the quote on the play mat from showing. This is based on the listing photos at the time of this review. I have gone back and forth as to whether it is a huge deal or not.The play mat has a saying in French that is about 20% of the size of the whole play mat. In my opinion, baby items don’t typically have verses or sayings in other languages unless it is advertised that way. Also, babies haven’t learned to speak English yet, so adding another language is not typically expected, to compare.The saying is “ bonne nuit petit renard“ which translates to “ good night little fox”. In the case of my niece who has a maternal grandmother with that last name, I have decided I am ok with the quote. I had not planned to give this to her. I will see her around Christmas. I am unsure if I would have chosen this play mat if I had known it had a saying that was not in English or if it had anything written on the mat that was not pictured in the listing photos.I have debated between 3 and 4 Stars. I will end at 4 and say to anyone looking at this listing, to look at the photos in my review – so that they can see the actual item being purchased. It is important to see the words on the mat, and choose accordingly.

I love this play gym mat! The 100% cotton material is super soft and gentle on my baby’s skin. The hedgehog design is adorable. The detachable toys keep my little one entertained and help with sensory play. Its machine washable, which makes life so much easier with all the messes! Definitely a great purchase and perfect for tummy time sessions.

Lovely baby play mat. The colors are very nice and I especially love the little animals on it. It’s super soft and should be comfy for baby to lay on. It also seems to be well made and a snap to set. It would be great for travel.
