very hungry and thin!…”

Can’t get enough
I have been reading books by this author for years to my little ones. I started reading these books to my 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son. They are now 10 and 11. We have added to our family since and have started reading these books to them. Even the older one still love to sit in and read along. Beautiful storytelling of Bear and his friends. Thank you Karma and Jane!!! 🙂

Great for Sign Language!
I am a mother of 5, and I have always loved to read to my kids. My youngest was born deaf and that put a totally new spin on how I pick out books. I am not fluent in sign language, so I need a book with language simple enough for a beginner to sign, yet still not too simple that it would take all the fun out of reading the book to my other children. My family has collected tons of books over the years, but some of our favorites don’t work for my deaf daughter. My family loves all the Bear books and this one does not disappoint! I recently started a Signing Story Time event and this one is also a fave of the babies and toddlers who come to that, too. They love signing along with the “Bear wants more!” And the most touching part is the cover art – Bear and his friends look like they are signing MORE. My deaf daughter is still too young to enjoy the story, but I know she loves the pictures and gets that Bear wants more. But I know that as she gets older, she will appreciate this book more and more.

I love these books
I read stories to my toddlers before bed every night so I love books that flow well when read aloud. These books are well written and the illustrations are charming.

An ever green favourite
This review is for the hard cover version. One of my son’s favourite books. If you have a kid who likes books, this one will be well worth your money. The text and the illustrations, every thing about this book is awesome. This one is the best in the series. I would always recommend not to go for the board book version as it does not do justice to the illustrations. The age recommended in the product details is right, 3-7 yrs.

Great book!
Love this story and the illustrations. The quality of this printing wasn’t as good as I had hoped. The pages were not perfectly lined up in a couple areas and the paper not as quality as another copy of this book that I have. I was buying this to give as a gift for a baby shower, since I had loved the book.

This is a wonderful little board book!
My almost three year old granddaughter still loves this small board book that I’ve been reading to her since she was one. The stories are well-written in easily read (by grandpa) verse, the illustrations are cute, and they hold the my child’s attention and are fun to read. We own three board books in the series now.

Animal story in simple, but not stupid verses. Great pictures, lots of warmth and cuteness, and although animals behave like humans, there is no unnecessary stereotypical ballast: Bear’s just hungry so his friends bring him some food. That’s all.Book as an item is well made, pages are sturdy and able to survive little kids.
