Easy to install and works good. I purchased 2 of these locks for my daughter to put up on the front and back door. My great grandson would unlock the doors and run outside anytime he wanted. This works good and now he has to wait until someone can go out with him to play!!!

Works for little ones!
When my granddaughter was just over 2 years old, she walked out onto the front porch early one morning, around 6am, and shut the door behind her. My daughter and I were still asleep. Thankfully, she stayed safely on the porch, playing on the porch swing, but she couldn’t get back inside because she couldn’t turn the doorknob. She was out there for about 20 minutes before my daughter realized she wasn’t in her bed. It was terrifying!Right after that, I bought a simple plastic door handle cover, and thankfully, that never happened again. Now, fast forward four years, grandchild #2 is on the way, and I’m not taking any chances. When I saw these locks, I knew I’d put them to good use.They’re not heavy duty, so I wouldn’t rely on them for security against an intruder, but for keeping a curious toddler from wandering outside, they’re perfect. The lock comes with a little plastic key so you can set your own 3-digit code. The dials are a bit stiff and hard to turn at first, but I’m hoping they’ll loosen up with use.I love that it comes as a 2-pack so I can secure both the front and back doors. Again, they’re not super strong, so in an emergency, an adult could probably break the chain with a firm pull, but for everyday child safety, this will work for me!

Good security but don’t use adhesive
I was excited for this as we need an additional layer of security at our front door with young kids. I didn’t bother setting up a combination as its too high for them to reach. I installed it with the adhesive and let it sit overnight. The next day, it felt like it was on there well. I tried opening the door, and it felt like it was secure. Well, literally 10 mins later, I completely forgot the chain was set and I opened the door. It came off my wall, taking a piece of wall and paint with it. So now I need to fix my wall and will try to use the sc rews instead. But I’m glad this happened as it could have led to a false sense of security if my kids did open the door and it came off for them.

Easy to use and works well
The locks are easy to set up and hold firmly on my fridge for cabinet. They do a good job keeping my toddler out. The only drawback is the adhesive has a strong smell at first, but it fades after a while. Still, a useful option for basic childproof.

Low level security device good to keep little ones out and to prevent casual theft
I have a cabinet in the garage where I store some potentially poisonous chemicals. This cabinet lock works well to keep those product safely locked.The lock itself has one major flaw and that is the number wheels are difficult to turn. So much so to be very annoying. That being the case, I would only use this lock for low traffic use. However, in all fairness, I was able to loosen up the wheels by constantly spinning them a lot.It does come with a “key” which is only used to set the combination. If you forget that combination, then you’ll have to go through 1000 possible combinations to find the right one. (With how bad it is to turn the number wheels, it won’t be worth the frustration.)The adhesive uses what looks like clear nano tape which in my experience will eventually come loose. I would recommend using the screws included for a more secure mounting.
