Superior seat, worth every penny!
I just received this seat today and I am thrilled with it. After and exhaustive search for a booster seat for my 4 1/2 year old, I went to our local baby equipment warehouse to view the two seats I had narrowed down. I had decided I wanted a seat that utilizes the LATCH system as the infant and toddler seats do. I have no idea why the majority of booster seats simply sit on top of the seat without utilizing the LATCH system, it seems like a no brainer that if a infant and toddler seats needs to be anchored, so does a booster. Does your child’s safety suddenly become less important because they’re older? I don’t think so! I felt that the transition from toddler seat to big boy seat was challenge enough for my nerves and the last thing I needed was to have my child’s booster seat sliding all over the car because it wasn’t anchored.Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see the Oobr there because it was only available on line even though the store listed it as being in stock. That left the other car seat I had chose which was the Britax Parkway SGL. I am a big fan of Britax because of their reputation for quality and safety and the hands down durability of their seats and have owned the Marathon since my son was an infant. So I purchased the Parkway SGL because it and the Oobr are the only two booster seats I could find which make use of the LATCH system and actually attach the boosters to the car’s seat instead of only relying on the seat belt and the weight of the child to hold the seat in place.After putting the Britax in the car, I was almost afraid to use it. Although the seat base which can be used alone of with the back and head support, is pretty surdy, the back simply slides into a plastic receiver and flops around unless the seat is at a perfect 90 degree angle. Sitting anyone at a perfect 90 degree angle is uncomfortable but it is the only way to stop the back of the seat from falling forward, with your child in it, if you come to a sudden stop. We tested it out in the parking lot by braking a few times… not hard enough to engage the seatbelt lock but enough that my son’s entire torso came flopping forward like he was on a hinge and his hips. I reclined him to a more natural sitting postion and it only got worse. There was more play in the seat and it was very floppy and unstable.As soon as we got home I stated to read reviews on the Oobr and decided to take a chance and order one. Installation was a breeze, the slide feature of the base ensures and snug fit against the back of the car seat and the rigid metal frame helps make the seat more stable even in the recline position. There is a very, very slight amount of forward movement when braking but nothing compared to the Britax seat.I highly recommend this product, it is solid, well made yet simple with much less bulk than the bigger seats. It does what it needs to for a reasonable price. No frills but who needs them, safety is the issue here and they have it down.

Only the most freaking awesome car seat, ever
Love this seat, and so does my son. He’s 4 but big for his age (46″ tall and 48lbs) and has been asking for a big kid car seat once his friends started to turn 4. We had a Britax toddler seat with a 5pt harness, but also needed to give that up for the little sis, so it was clearly time to move on. I read a ton of reviews, both official safety reviews and parent feedback, and decided on this for the following reasons:1. The high back and headrest are more comfortable for him. If he falls asleep in the car his head stays upright and he doesn’t slump to any side.2. The car seat can recline when latched and used with a reclining seat (which we don’t have, yet, but will if my husband ever gets his way and we buy a minivan)3. The headrest is just as easily adjusted as my car headrest, and this positions the seatbelt properly across his shoulder and not neck. This is way less complicated than the strap that comes with some of the booster only options.4. This thing is SOLID! It looks and feels like a real seat and not something that my kid could destroy if left alone with it for 5 minutes.5. The fabric feels nice, key for hot summers in PA, and claims to be stain resistant.6. I think the thing looks great – clean and unfussy with a great color selection.7. It comes with a cup holder. Now I know that some come with TWO, but come on, my 4 year old is super excited to have even one. Most of the time it is filled with hot wheels or playmobile figures, but he loves having a place to put his very important stuff.8. He can now buckle himself in and do it correctly without any help from me, something he and I both love.9. This booster is expensive but lasts for 9 years, so we’ll def be using it for child number two (who isn’t nearly as big as the bro and will thankfully take longer to grow out of the 5pt)The only detractors I can see are, well, nothing. All my friends claim to envy this car seat and are buying one when their kid is ready to move out of the 5pt.

Este es mi 4to Clek, tengo 2 Foonf y este es mi sedungo Oobr, sin duda es la marca de mejor calidad/seguridad, por los malos comentarios que he visto son porque las personas no saben como usarlo, no porque sean malos, si te interesa la seguridad de tus hijos esta es la mejor opcion.El unico contra que tengo sobre este producto es que la tela es Mesh, y esta descontinuada por Clek, ya no lo producen, pero la garantia , durabilidad y seguridad es la misma , solo por eso no tengo quejas.

Nos encanto y ya que habíamos leído muchos comentarios buenos , nuestro hijo va encantado en su silla de niño grande y aunque es booster nos encanta que sigue teniendo protección lateral
