I borrowed the next-price-point-down (brand starts with an “R”) from a friend while I waited for this one. Comomy is superior and worth the extra $20 or so in all ways.FIT: Better fit options with two small extension pieces. I was able to better fit this to my 33″ doorway by using the smallest extension piece which left about an inch of distance bt the gate/wall. The other brand had only one large extension piece and the feet were maxed out, making the whole gate wobblier.DESIGN: More idiot-proof as it swings itself shut to avoid accidentally leaving it open. A gate is only preventing an accident if it’s closed. But being able to open it all the way and have it stay that way is a nice feature when you’ve got a giant laundry basket in-hand.STURDINESS: I’m just using it to keep an elderly dog from accidentally falling downstairs so I didn’t need it to be bomb-proof. It feels very solid in the door frame, even without using the screw-mounted cups but they do seem like a very next-level sturdiness feature to protect a toddler from stairs.QUALITY OF MATERIALS: The gate and hardware feel sturdy and appropriately manufactured. The latch feels good and reliable.EASE OF USE: It was extremely easy to setup (less than half an hour, no tools required). I find the one-handed opening mechanism easy but I could see why some might find it tricky, especially if you don’t get that ideal gap.My only complaint is it did not come with a manual. I was able to easily find the manual online.There was hardware that was confusingly not used in setup and I’m not sure what it’s for, this why I needed directions. I also would not have known what the cups and screws were for as they did not exist in the other model I trialed.WHAT I WOULD CHANGE: I’m 5’8″ and have to tilt my torso down ever so slightly to open the gate. The extra tall gate would be nominally nicer for me or anyone taller to open. But it’s not worth a return to me.The white one would have blended more. Also not a worth a return.In regards to the cat gate being too large as some users have said, I would just zip tie a piece of wood in there to make it smaller as this gate was the best price point for all of this gate’s features and quality of build.

Does the job.
This baby gate is great. Very sturdy. Well put together. I like the way it closes automatically. It works great to keep my growing Dane mix puppy contained and away from the cat when she needs a break. There were no missing parts when I assembled it. It’s a little cumbersome to adjust the width once it’s in place. If you have baseboard moulding, you may want to consider hiring a second pair of hands to help with the mounting.

Love the cat door.
I have waited for years for a gate that had a cat door. The item is built well and sturdy. The cat door can be left open or closed, which makes pet life a bit easier. We found it to be so helpful, we purchased a second door. The 1st door was purchased 7 months ago and still works perfectly. We have not had any issues. It’s a recommend for me.

Create gate, door opens in both directions
I got this gate to keep my dogs out of one section of my house. It is extra wide and fit perfectly. It is very sturdy when installed correctly. The locking mechanism is of good quality. It is quick and easy to take down when not needed. The price was very good and it does the job of keeping my dogs safe and out of areas they shouldn’t be in
