I initially bought a different pet gate about two years ago when I first adopted my precious girl a lab pit mix because I wasn’t sure how the introduction to my cats would Go. I promptly sent the gate back never even opening it because things were great.Fast-forward two years later and we adopted a Boston interior mix… A little boy… And he and his sister continually eat my two boy cats’ food. I was spinning an arm and a leg on food and couldn’t figure out why until I caught them. Nothing I did stopped it.So I found this gate that has a cat door built in and it is perfect. When I really like is there are four positions the little cat Door could move into for the perfect size of the cat. I had to drop it down to my poor cats, and I have to do a limbo getting in there because my boy, Boston terrier mix was still small enough to go through their size door.Thankfully, with a different sizes on that door, we have solved that problem. The cats are happy that they can go in and eat without worrying about the dogs stealing their food and they do have food left over now and can eat whenever they want. Additionally I can keep the dogs locked out of that room at night too. A complete win-win for all of us, especially me because I’m now saving a little more money on cat food.The gate seems very durable, despite the fact that it’s not very heavy, which I do like, but it is for me just heavy enough.I’m very pleased with my purchase and if I needed a gate anywhere else, I would definitely buy this same gate again. It is well worth the cost. It is very stable and latches well, at the same time being easy to open even if you have your hands full.I am very pleased with this purchase, if I haven’t said that already. As for the seller… The gate was supposed to take an entire month to get to my house and it arrived two weeks early. It was well packaged and no damage anywhere. The seller, along with the product itself, gets five stars from me and I rarely ever give five stars unless I’m really happy with the product and or the seller.

Great Gate-Measurements in Review
Needed a new pet gate to keep our dog out of the laundry room, but allow our older large cat in to use the litter box.This one definitely fits the bill. Sturdy enough for daily use. Has a nice springed gate that will latch it when you let go so you don’t have to do it manually, Easy Pull-Button/Lift and Swing Open Function that’ll keep toddlers at bay, and was easy to set up.For some reason the other reviews don’t have dimensions for the openings, so if you’re anal like me and really need that kind of info, here you go.The picture is from a 36″ wide door. As you can see it fits fine with only one extension. I’ll use the other one as a bludgeon against my enemies. Or keep it in reserve in case I break this one. Fighting my enemies.Overall height-33.25″Minimum Clear Gate Opening at Top and Bottom-20″Maximum Cat Gate Opening-7.5″ Wide x 12″ High when opened fully.Cat Gate Bottom is 2.5″ off the floorIt has 5 height adjustments from closed to 3″ at the smallest to fully open at 12″, but why you’d want the bottom one unless you have a ferret or a rat, I don’t know, because at that point they could just squeeze through the vertical bars.Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this. Our medium sized Maine Coon mix cat at 14-16 lbs can get through no problem, and it keeps our medium/small dog who is a 25 lb Shi-Tzu/Terrier Mix out of the litter box. And it’s a heck of a lot easier getting into the laundry room without having to P-90X standing ab crunch your way over the 3′ tall non-retractable gate we had before.Kind of annoyed that there wasn’t free shipping, but at $71 including shipping it was a better choice than the ones at Petsmart that didn’t seem nearly as good.I’d definitely recomend it.

Bought this baby gate to stop my large dog from eating my small dog’s food (who likes to pick at her food through out the day). The hole can be lowered to customize the size of your dog or cat; which we had to do since my big dog wiggled her body through our original setting. We have this setup in our laundry room entry, and have not had any issues opening it often or having to readjust the doorway fit. It came with extensions to help with the fit and the height is prefect that our large dog cannot jump it. Our little girl does sometimes trips going in and out, but she is 16 and isn’t as stable as she once was. A nice function of the gate, is that you can have it stay open when needed, and is really durable (our pitty mix tried chewing the opening after we lower the opening but gave up with little damage to the gate. Would definitely buy again as it gives our little girl her own little area.

Adjustable door for the win!
This gate is perfect for keeping littles in line. It is wide and has 2 sides that can be added or removed to adjust width. The adjustable door is super nice. I could adjust it to the perfect size to stop the baby but let pets through. The door opens both directions. It’s a bit difficult to open because you slide a button and push up, but baby will never be able to open it. You can still open it with one hand easily. There’s an option to screw it I to the wall. I didn’t do that and it has stayed sturdy.
