All tools that I have sterilized with this box have come out sparkling clean. I have only used this machine for my personal nail clippers, scissors, tweezers, etc. I haven’t used this on anything for professional use. It does a really great job and is very easy to use. With all of this being said, I could probably boil my tools on the stove for the same effect. Maybe the dry heat is less corrosive.This is a good little machine to have.

Remove the invisible plastic layer before use!
It’s okay now, but be warned – the metal tray is not blue, the blue is a plastic sheeting inexplicably covering the surfaces of the tray, flush with the surface and with the holes cut out AND no warning in the instructions to remove the plastic. So you may be treated to the lovely aroma of melting plastic when you go to use it, then bake the plastic on so all you can do is put it in your oven on a clean cycle to burn the rest away, now enjoying the melting plastic smell both at work AND at home. Eventually it all burns off, but really obnoxious.
