Helping Babies & Toddlers Grow

Our music books for babies and toddler are more than just fun, they’re designed to support your child’s growth and development.

Abous Pirouette Kids

When the children of Pirouette Kids Founder Sarah were little, they loved the French music books their grandmother brought home from France. But nothing like them existed in the U.S. So she created Pirouette Kids: beautifully designed sound books with actually good music that kids love and parents enjoy too.

Six iconic classical pieces: Includes melodies by Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, and more—performed by professional musicians and curated to delight even the youngest listeners.
Supports early development through music: Promotes listening skills, sound recognition, and language development while introducing young children to the richness of classical music.
Durable and travel-friendly Sized just right for little hands and made to withstand toddler life, this book is perfect for car rides, stroller time, or quiet play at home.
Interactive and easy to use: Each sturdy board page features a sound button that’s easy for babies and toddlers to press—no adult help needed to enjoy the music.
A Unique Musical Gift: Makes a thoughtful gift for baby showers, birthdays, or families who want more than typical sound books.

Wonderful Gift to Introduce Young Children to Classical Music
This is a wonderful book to introduce young children to classical music which has been credited with stimulating brain function and in some cases enhancing learning. The book comes with batteries already installed, and plays the most familiar choruses of a handful of classical music pieces while the accompanying text with each piece invites children to identify things on the pages or act out a part of the story.I read this story to two little boys, 6 1/2 years, and almost 4 years old, and they both really enjoyed this board book, and the music. They both wanted to look at the book themselves after we finished reading it together, and we had to enforce “taking turns.” I thought they might enjoy the book, but their responses exceeded my expectations as each had different favorites when it came to the musical pieces. Both started moving to the music and dancing in place to Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker music. This book would be a wonderful gift for a very young child being introduced to board books, but it even appealed to a 6 1/2 year old although he was outside of the target age for this particular book. It might be a good gift option for developmentally delayed older children too. The price is reasonable, and the sound quality was good. Musical excerpts are fairly short but recognizable parts of choruses from familiar classical pieces.

    Wonderful introduction to classical music!
While I love electronics, there’s something wonderfully refreshing about connecting children to music without Wi-Fi. This little book is beautifully illustrated, easy to use, and sure to capture a baby’s attention. It will work well for children from a few months old through the toddler years. Each page features colorful, engaging images that draw a child in even before the music starts. A page introduces a musical clip and composer, then offers a brief description of the piece. I especially appreciate how the book provides simple explanations of song themes in terms a toddler can understand. There are also one or two questions on a page that invite the child to move in ways connected to the theme or respond to theme-inspired prompts. These questions encourage visual and auditory engagement, physical movement, imagination, and focus. To play a clip, just push a small circled area on the page. Once a child’s strength and fine motor skills develop, they’ll be able to do that themselves. The audio quality is actually quite good, considering it’s from a little cardboard book!A battery is already installed in a small battery box on the back cover, and there’s an on/off switch to preserve battery life. The back cover also includes a list of the songs, the composers, and instructions for battery replacement.I will be researching this company’s other music books, too. As someone who loves classical music, I can’t wait to use this one.

My son can’t stop pressing the buttons
We got this for my 3-year-old and he LOVES it. The buttons are easy enough for him to press on his own, and the music actually sounds nice.  He’s especially into the “bunny dancing one” (the Sugar Plum Fairy).  Great quality too, it’s been dropped several times already and still works perfectly.
