Love it, but I cannot give five stars.
My daughter loves the Itsy Bitsy spider.I have been telling her the story too. Even adding a detail that the spider made it to the top of the spout in the end, and after being determined, got to see the beautiful sunset, curl up and go to sleep.Spoiler alert: in this book… in the end… the spider just walks off? And it keeps asking “does the spider try it again?”In this book, the spider tries several times (and even wears a raincoat? What?) and basically gives up.I suppose you could teach some values of knowing when to accept your losses or abilities and being happy with yourself anyway.But the itsy bitsy spider song and story is about teaching resilience to kids. Because when the rain washes you out, you’ve got to get up and keep going.
