I have fine hair and once I started having thyroid problems my hair started to thin and break…a lot! I take the biotin and collagen supplements which help a little but the breakage continued and cleaning the amount of hair out of my hair catcher about made me cry every time I washed my hair.After using this shampoo, conditioner and the thickening spray has made a huge difference. Little breakage now and washing my hair is pleasant again. My hair is slowly starting to finally fill in again. For the price point it’s worth a try and for me has worked better than some more expensive brands.

More Effective than Expected
Alright, I didn’t expect much but I’m pretty impressed. I have very fine curly hair prone to breakage; lately I’ve been worried about thinning around my part and hairline. This product is cheap enough that I figured, why not try it?I’ve used this and the conditioner for a few days now, along with my usual curl cream and blow dryer. I wish I’d taken before photos – maybe I’ll upload pics of a day I don’t use it vs when I do. My part and hairline are much less noticeable, my hair has more volume with less frizz, and my curls are more defined. I don’t lose as much hair in the shower.It doesn’t promise to be a permanent solution but it really does work after one use, so it helps while searching for a longterm treatment. Pretty cheap compared to most specialized hair products.One star off because I hate the smell. Kind of a medical scent – reminds me of Head & Shoulders maybe? But the smell washes out, the conditioner has a lighter/better scent, and my curl cream covers both.

More Confidence
First, I’d like to thank this company for producing this product. I am a cancer patient, and though I’m not losing my hair, it is thinning out. This product not only makes my hair feel soft and manageable, but it also smells great. Using this product not only makes my hair feel and look fuller, which I noticed after the first use (so did my husband), but also gives me more confidence about my appearance. I also use the conditioner made by the same company, and I will leave this same review for that.

slight volume increase, smelled like a men’s product
I’m currently in the beginning stages of alopecia hair loss/thinning & was excited to use something by a longstanding name brand such as John Frida. My hair did appear to have slightly more volume. Since I can’t wash my hair every day, I was pleased that my hair didn’t feel greasy or oily the next day, but the added volume was totally gone. The scent threw me off because it was not feminine, flowery/fruity typical shampoo smell. I’d describe it more like a men’s cologne or men’s body wash. The scent was also very strong as I kept catching a whiff of it off & on all day long.

This is quite possibly the best shampoo I have ever used.When I was younger, I had fine, perfectly straight hair that just hung there. As I have aged, the few gray hairs have come in coarser and a bit curly making my hair mixed.While I love John Frieda shampoos, I hate hate hate that they introduce them, I find one I like and then it just disappears and they come out with a new one. Let me keep the ones that I like!Anyway, I bought this one when they discontinued the last one. From the moment you start to lather, you will feel a difference. Thick, silky lather! I even checked the directions – you don’t have to “lather, rinse & repeat”. I usually do out of habit but have tried to lathering once and it does work. I want a shampoo to make my hair feel clean and not like it has left a bunch of gunk behind and this one does seem to rinse all out.And my hair feels different. Yes, it feels thicker – with more body – but more importantly to me, it feels really silky and smooth.Please don’t discontinue this one – I want to keep using it!

Usually I have to wash my hair twice and with this shampoo only once. It has a nice lather which makes you feel like you’re hair and scalp are clean and soft. I just started using it so I’m not sure yet about the hair loss or hair thickness

I have never been impressed by a shampoo, until this one. My hair is now amazing, after having only used this for a few days. I will never bother trying another shampoo so long as they keep making this.I am 40+ years old and lately my hair has been meh. Dull, difficult, flat, and just lacking. I had done all the masks and treatments to no avail. Then I saw this won some sort of award for best volumizing product of the year, and it was on sale, so I thought I’d try it.It has, no joke, completely changed my life. I don’t need hot tools or styling products or anything for regular day wear. Before finding this, my routine consisted of Drybar volume spray + blow dry, followed by Drybar heat protection spray + flat iron.My hair is shiny, healthy, and voluminous. I could not be happier.
