Great First Phonics Tool
These are great – if you’re just starting out with phonics as a parent, get these first. The instructions/explanation is clear and lays a good foundation for being able to relay to kids in an age appropriate way!

Good learning toy for many ages
I got these for my kiddos with varying ages (6 months, 7 and 9). My 9 year old struggles with spelling and while this is intended for younger kids, its works since we can play with the baby while also practicing letter phonemes. Its great for my 6 month old just to show her different colors and images. They are soft for her to play with. I have used them for stacking them in front of her so she can play with them and knock them down. She has chewed on them and they hold up well except that the printed images and letters are starting to peel off.

Phonetic foam building blocks
These cubes are made of a semi-firm foam which allows them to be rolled like dice or stacked like building blocks. The foam allows for fairly silent play, even though they are meant to encourage speech and pronunciation. 16 cubes with 6 different sides each gives a variety of different sounds and objects to practice speaking. There are a total of 96 sides, but some contain the reroll symbol, so I think there are 78 unique sides. The label in the container provides a phoneme and word list so you don’t have to worry about studying phonemes. They also include the names of each pictured object. There are a total of 5 different colors.Though these are meant for children age 3+ in order for them to be used as intended, they function as toy blocks for those who are under 3. They have a pretty obvious foam smell, but isn’t too obvious unless you smell them directly in the container.

dense foam blocks
Quality of these blocks is a bit below average for my liking. It feels like they’re made from dense foam and can be easily scratched or peeling with my fingernails so I don’t expect these to last long with the kids. This is definitely requires interactions between an adult and the child. There’s no way a kid can play with these on their own or at least until they’ve pretty much memorized the sounds and words they can make. As an adult, you’ll also need to familiarize yourself with phonics for this to be an interactive process.

Fun Way for a Child to Improve Speech Skills
We got this set to help our child build phonics skills and better understand the connection between sounds and letters. While she’s speaking more now, her word recognition and pronunciation still need improvement, and we thought this would be a great learning tool. The 16 cubes are colorful and engaging, making them feel more like a game than a traditional learning exercise. The picture cubes paired with phoneme cubes helped her practice pronunciation and expand her vocabulary in a fun, interactive way. She especially loved rolling the cubes and sounding out the words with us—it was a great bonding activity that didn’t feel intimidating. The included pamphlet guided us through the different sounds and teaching methods. It made the experience structured without being overwhelming. The cubes are also well-made and sturdy enough for regular use, which is important for little hands. This set has been a clever and effective way to make phonics practice enjoyable while improving her language skills.
