Easy, Simple, and Works Great
I took a chance on this. I like the Levoit brand, I have an air purifier by them. It works great. But, there were mixed reviews on many of their humidifiers. This one, in particular, I liked the best because of the size and price but it had zero reviews. On their website, it says “new” so I guess that’s why. But, I am really glad I bought this. It is so quiet, it doesn’t make bubbling or gurgling noises like my Vicks humidifier did. It’s a top fill which makes it really easy to pour the water in. It’s a perfect size too! I keep it on my nightstand. I do have a little washcloth under it just in case it does leak because my old humidifier did all the time, but it has not yet so it’s just a precaution. Despite it being smaller than my old humidifier, when filled to the max fill line it lasts pretty long before needing a refill, which is nice. It doesn’t take very long to clean and comes with a brush to get in the nook and crannies (or you can just use a paper towel). It’s amazing. I also love how simple it is. There was a similar one that connected to an app, but sometimes that stuff doesn’t work right. This has a simple on-off dial and you adjust to how much mist you want coming out. Very easy.Now, something I have realized from scrolling through hundreds of reviews for other Levoit humidifiers and non-Levoit ones, most people don’t know how to use humidifiers properly. First off, you need to read the instruction manual. There you will learn you need to use purified or distilled water. If you don’t want to go and buy either of those from the store constantly, then don’t use a humidifier. I buy distilled water in the jugs from the water aisle. This is especially important if you live somewhere with hard water. I live in Arizona and we have very hard water (and our house has no soft water filter), I used to use tap water in my old warm mist humidifier and there would be so much mineral build-up. I know better now. Apparently, if you use tap water in a cool-mist humidifier, it may cause white dust around the unit. But, since I use distilled I have not had this issue. You will also learn from the manual how and how often to clean it. You should clean it when it’s brand new, you should change the water daily, and you should clean it every 3 days. There are also instructions to do a deep clean if necessary. I use vinegar to clean it as per the instructions every 2-3 days. Also, I make sure to clean every little corner and clean the inside of the top spout. I have seen SO many reviews where people complain of mold (in other models) and this is almost always because they aren’t cleaning their humidifier enough or cleaning it properly. I saw a one-star review and the entire base and inside were filled with dark green mold, they said they hadn’t cleaned it in 3 weeks! That’s crazy! Please don’t do that! As long as you take care of your humidifier, use it right, and clean it right you will have no mold problem.I have had it for 2 weeks now. I live in Arizona so it’s about 5% humidity here. My skin is so dry and after coming back from a Caribbean vacation (where it is very humid), I knew I needed more moisture in the air and this humidifier has done the trick. My skin is doing so much better now. I also have pretty bad allergies and my nose feels much less dry all the time, too which is nice. I highly recommend it!!!

Hard to keep clean, but still a good product
Good product, produces what I need, within the limitations of the category. I have a problem with dry eyes and I set this up on my bedside table to dump mist directly onto my eyes. Problem mostly solved.One problem that is common to ultrasonic humidifiers (and probably other humidifiers as well) is the difficulty in cleaning them. Microbes love water and they will grow unless an item is regularly cleaned, but humidifiers all (so far as I can tell) have regions that cannot be easily cleaned. I use only filtered (Brita) water and rinse the components every morning, drying wherever I can easily reach, then leaving them out all day to air dry. However, I still found some black stuff (identity unknown) growing in on of the tubes. I managed to get an alcohol wetted Q tip down to where it was and get it out. Still. I am now once a week wetting down with alcohol as much of the humidifier as I safely can (protecting the electrical parts), and letting that air dry. Hopefully that will solve the problem. You may think this is excessive, but it only takes a few minutes each day. All in all, this is doing what I bought it for.

The best, easiest to clean humidifier I’ve ever purchased. I’m picky.
The best, easiest to clean humidifier I’ve ever purchased. You can replace the yellow foam filter with any piece of sponge, even loofah or coconut fiber if you want to go au naturale so you don’t have to buy replacement plastic foam. Just scrub the parts in soap and water, you’ll need some bottle brushes, let dry and run for a minute with pure white vinegar to remove mineral build up. Best to use sterilized distilled water which you can make yourself. It says not to, but I add a few drops of diluted tea tree oil in alcohol as a dispersant so it wont damage or cling to the plastic which significantly cuts back cleaning. Highly recommended, as well as their larger versions for something bigger than a bedroom. Pretty quiet too. no lights Great customer service on the phone a the company HQ in the US. So no calls to the Philippines.

Satisfied with the quality of mist it can produce. Plus can be controlled by the app wherever you as long as it’s connected to the wifi. I like the auto mode in measuring the right humidity and auto stop function
