Great car seat, we’re very impressed!
This car seat is one of the highest end of its kind, so it comes with a lot of bells and whistles, and a price tag to match. We have a 6 month old boy and he’s been occupying this seat. Next to him sits our 2 year old daughter in a new car seat about half the price (Disney Ellaris). So let’s see what the extra money gets you, yes?Unboxing / InstructionsIt comes completely assembled. The user manual is easy to follow, well organized, and the car seat comes with a little compartment to keep the manual accessible.InstallationDifficulty level is kind of high with these all-in-ones, especially if you’re new to car seats. Installation took me about 30 minutes the first time, but I think it would only take about 5 minutes to do it again. It wasn’t really more or less difficult than the other car seat.Placing Baby InsidePutting in our 6 month old was straightforward. The magnetic seat restraint system is very high quality, though I’m not sure of the benefit. The restraint system on the ellaris was obviously cheaper, though I’m not sure I enjoyed it any less. In fact, it was clearly easier to buckle because it had fewer parts to manage.Comfort / AdjustabilityHere is where the Maxi-COSI seat shined compared to the other seat. It had much more attention to detail and options for comfort and padding. From the shoulder straps to the headrest, backrest, etc. I would much prefer to put a smaller infant in this seat as compared to the other seat. All of the fabrics felt soft and plush. It was equally as easy to adjust the basic options in both seats, such as the seating angle and shoulder straps height.SafetyThe safety certifications for both seats are equal. Neither one particular comes off to me as more safe than the other one, though I’m not an expert here.Size / CompatibilityIt’s a big car seat. I doubt it’s possible to fit three of them in a single row in my newer Honda Accord. I do not have a stroller that’s compatible with it, though, so I could not test that in particular.Design / LooksIt’s styling and looks very good. I’m a fan of the grey color, but this “escargot” is OK as well.OverallThis car seat is fantastic. It’s had great functionality, it’s safe, comfortable, and has many bells and whistles. It’s also easy to clean. The only thing that I’m not so sure about is the value proposition. Do you really need to pay double for the extra features? For some, I think you might have that killer feature you really want, and that’s OK. It’s a REALLY good car seat. But if you’re on budget, there’s great car seats for you too.

The greatest chair of all time, so easy to buckle and so soft and plush!
This seat has completely tranformed my experience and outlook on car travel with my son. I drive a double cab truck and used to have to struggle by cramming myself in the tight back seat to strap him in, not to mention his straps would always tangle and I would get so frustrated. Alot of times I would dellay trips to go solo when Dad was home. Not now, this seat is honestly, the greatest of all time. The shoulder pads stay firmly locked into position, inhibiting strap tangling. Pads his shoulders nicely too. I cannot begin to mention how easy it is to position him in his seat, and just gently click his straps together via the strong magnet, also unclipping truly is a breeze. The value of this car seat is incredible. I can’t touch base enough on how easy it is, to get him in and out of. I wish I would’ve found it sooner. The color is brilliant, blends in with my truck interior perfectly. I also have to mention how padded and plush it is. It’s so comfortable and safe, so didn’t have to sacrifice in any way. I really appreciate the pure cosi and eco care fabrics, those are the icing on the cake. I really think this seat is the greatest of all time for my son and myself. Its so incredible to know he is safe, and comfortable, and its so insanely easy to operate one handed from the front seat. I can’t stress that enough. It also is a tall seat, so he is able to see out of the windshield and back windows which makes the ride more enjoyable for him, as well as me to monitor him by seeing him in the mirror.

Max kid height is 43″ – shoulders hit against the oversized headrest
I’m sure this is a great product for infants and toddlers, but don’t expect to be able to use this for kids at the top range of the height max. My 42″ 4yo can fit in the front-facing mode comfortably enough. But my 7yo, who is 48″ and still below the max height was in pain sitting in it. You can see that his shoulders are hitting up against the bottom of the headrest, even at its max height. Since the headrest cannot be raised any more even in belt-positioning mode, it renders the car seat unusable for anyone bigger than 43″ or so. A true disappointment.Other things that just left me feeling meh:- the belt cushions are attached to car seat, so you can’t adjust it and adds to the tight fit around the neck- the belt itself is very thin, causing it to get twisted and stuck too easily- the headrest is IMPOSSIBLE to adjust with one hand, especially when fitted into the car. I couldn’t even do it with two hands, since I suffer from mommy wrist on one hand. I had to remove it, and use my legs to brace it to get it up to the max height

We recently purchased the Maxi-COSI Pria Max+ All-in-One Convertible Car Seat and are absolutely thrilled. As parents, safety and comfort are paramount, and this seat delivers on both, with added convenience features that are truly a game-changer. This might genuinely be the only car seat we’ll ever need! This seat covers all stages: Rear-Facing (4-40 lbs), Forward-Facing (up to 65 lbs), and Booster Mode (up to 100 lbs). The 10-year lifespan makes the initial investment completely worthwhile. The memory foam padding and plush, premium fabrics are incredibly soft. Our little one is immediately cozy, which makes long car rides much more pleasant. It truly has a “luxe” feel. The auto-magnetic chest clip buckles almost by itself and makes securing a squirming toddler incredibly fast and easy with just one hand. It’s an investment, but one that provides premium comfort for our child and lasting peace of mind for us.
