Initial Review: Initially, I loved this swing. It is light-weight, easy to assemble, and easy to use. However, I’ve now had it almost exactly two months, and have used it lightly for about 1.5 months, and it has stopped working. After taking it apart, moving it to a different room, then reassembling it, it no longer works. I push power, then the button to start the swing, and it turns back off. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a difference in the swing speed. My baby loves it, but I’m not sure it’s worth it if it doesn’t last.Added: Soon after our first swing stopped working, I contacted the manufacturer to take advantage of their warranty. The customer service was fantastic, and they quickly and easily shipped me a new swing free of charge, and I had it within days. The second swing has worked well with no issues, and while I still don’t see a difference in the swing speed, my baby loves it, and we use it all the time. We kept the first, broken swing, to use as a seat when we needed to put her down for just a few minutes in a safe spot, knowing that seat didn’t have any power to it. She’s about to reach the weight limit at 7 months old, so I’m sad we won’t be able to use it anymore, but I’m a fan of this thing, and the customer service.

If you are wondering if you should buy thing swing LOOK NO FURTHER. Do it and don’t hesitate. The vibration with the swinging method had my colicky AND dairy allergy baby who is processing out dairy currently CONTENT AND HAPPY. I haven’t slept in 6 weeks! Do it now or won’t regret this!

This swing is really well designed and well made. It’s got a mesh back to the seat portion so it can stay cool while the insert is reversible: fleecy on one side for warmth and cooler fabric on the other when it’s hot. The whole thing is removable for washing, too.The control interface is sleek but intuitive. It’s all touch screen but blends nicely with the base. Not what I expected to find on a baby swing. The bluetooth speaker is also a nice touch. It’s great for soothing baby with calming music or white noise.The actual motion of the swing is really gentle. Even at the highest setting, it doesn’t fly around faster like other swings, it’s just a slightly wider arc.This is the new standard for baby swings!

Perfect for your newborn
This was my favorite during newborn. During the day I put my son in here as I would get things done or simply just sitting beside him in the living room. Was not too big at all, it was sturdy & great quality. You can easily break down if you needed to take it somewhere.

Baby’s Favorite! We call it “the Egg”
My baby loves the Munchkin Swaying Seat. I originally purchased it for a weekend away because it would travel easily & break down into two parts. It worked perfectly and was easy to pack & carry into the hotel. After the weekend away I had planned on it staying in my bedroom as a seat that I could place the baby in when I was in the room working on something. But it has actually turned into our main baby swing. I have 3 other types and this ended up being the favorite over the swing, the bouncer, and the rocker. I only wish that they could use it longer than 20 lbs. or when they roll over.Well worth the extra cost, easy to clean, breaks down into two parts, 5 sway settings, good selection of noises and comes with a remote. The only thing I don’t like is that the Bluetooth volume isn’t able to get any louder, because any music or sound comes out too quiet to be worth while, in my opinion.

Easy to use swing that our baby loves
We are first time parents and we were looking for a reliable swing that might assist with soothing / sleep assist for our newborn. We did some research on the Mama Roo, Baby Bjorn, and a couple others and saw that the Munchkin Swing had a competitive price with similar features as the others. After purchasing we tried our 5 week old in the swing and she absolutely loves it. We’ve been mostly using for our morning nap routine or when the baby finishes tummy time and not tired enough for nap. The swing has 5 levels, comes with built in white noise along with other soothing music/sounds, and you can easily pair with blue tooth to play your own music! I didn’t think I’d need this feature, but after trying it out, realized it would be fun for baby to listen to tunes that we enjoy as well.Set up and take down is super easy, pretty much sets up in one click, and the swing can be stored flat so can be put away and out of sight when not in use, which is necessary in our small apartment. Highly recommend this product – it’s an item we are getting almost daily use out of!

Buckle up..this a long oneUnfortunately we were also sucked in by the modern design of this product. Like most others, we purchased while I was still pregnant. After purchasing , we briefly plugged in the swing and tested it…everything seemingly worked fine.Fast forward several months. After arriving at home with a fussy newborn. Literally..the first time we tried using the swing setting the error code shown above was displayed and the swing motion failed. We unplugged the swing and tried trouble shooting in various ways with no success. Nowhere is there a list of error codes. We checked both online and in the user manual.Very frustrated with this given the price of the unit. We would be happy to write a better review if the unit is replaced or a refund is issued…it is unfortunate that we purchased this so long ago…hopefully customer support will help.Also, very strange that there is a battery compartment at the back of the swing that has no wiring leading to it…just a weird “battery holder” if you will.
