A little softer for a crib mattress than by itself, generally the waterproof factor is a bit pointless as crib mattresses tend to be anyway, but it doesn’t hurt to also be able to wash an extra layer easily.Fabric is breathable and not too thick or plush.Baby sleeps a little better after getting it vs before. She sleeps well in our bed compared to crib, so we got this in an effort to make the crib a little more plush whilst being safe.Easy to use, decent value & expected quality and fit.

Can’t say enough good things. Used for 3 years with my first child. It’s easy to put on and wash. It kept its fit and never stretched out over time. I wax able to sleep in those early months knowing this mattress bad was breathable. Just bought another one for my second baby.

It’d like to give this a 4.5 because although it fits the Sealy mattress I have, it’s not as “tight” as the Sealy cover I had before.But this mattress protector doesn’t appear to trap heat the way the Sealy cover I had. It feels comfortable and “soft” but not plushy that it becomes unsafe.I’m impressed so far.

Great for potty training
A necessity when you reach the potty training age!! We’ve had our Newton mattress with the original cover for years but when my 3 year old started potty training and we found out he couldn’t wear pull ups to nap at school, we had to start napping with no diapers at home. I ordered this protector and it’s awesome. Fits great, works well, and easy to put on. A little expensive but all Newton products are. They’re worth the cost to me.

Used with a regular mattress you can breathe through the cover easily. Unfortunately I tried to cover it with a light fitted sheet as it’s not a soft material and the results weren’t quite the same. So I’m using it on its own. But it does appear to work and I will order another in case we have to change sheets mid night.
