Sturdy and adheres well!
I really like that these can be used on my old freezer that has trouble staying closed all the time without some sort of pressure keeping it down. I simple loaded the top of my freezer installed these fridge locks and now I can secure my freezer door without having to put tons of weight on top.The instructions are a little unclear in the printout on how to change the passcode so I will explain.TO CHANGE PASSCODE (Please read all steps before changing anything)1. Set to default code of 000 (or if you have changed your code before, set it to that code.)2. Unlock and remove cable completely.3. Take the key and insert it in the hole on the right side (it is the side where the 3rd number on the passcode is)(for the next step I suggest you just change one number i.e. make the passcode “001” to make sure the rest of the steps work and you understand how to change the passcode)4. You should be able to rotate the combo numbers freely to change it to whatever passcode you like.5. Before re-inserting the cable make sure you can freely depress the unlock button all the way down with the new passcode, if you are able to then it has been a success.

Can’t change lock combo from factory.
I’m using these on two sheds and while they do stick really well,especially if you use the included primer wet naps, I can’t seem to change the lock combo no matter how many times I’ve tried. I even had someone eles try just to make sure I wasn’t misunderstanding the directions, and they couldn’t get it to work either.I had the same issue with both locks.So now I’m stuck just using the factory combo which isn’t ideal. It’s too bad because they do work well as far as the function of locking and closing the door.They are made well, they aren’t so cheap that you could just rip out the wire once it’s locked, at least I can’t.If I figure out how to lock it correctly I’ll come back and update this reveiw, but until then I can only give it 3 stars.
