Easy and eye catching baby gates
I was hesitant based on reviews of them being flimsy and cheap but I’m happy with these gates.I was dreading buying baby gates because they’re just so tacky looking. These are very nice looking and fit the style of our house. The true color of the wood is in the close up photo. For whatever reason, further away it appears darker than it really is.These appealed to me because they are easy to put up and down, I wanted to be able to stash them away to make the house look nice when we have company over in the evenings. They are truly easy to put up and down. I used a marker and marked which slot to use so that it’s even quicker. I took note from previous reviews that said they break easily from too much tension so I fit the doorway just a little too loose then went one notch past that and they’re very secure. So far my 7 month old stands up and pulls on them and they haven’t come down. They’re a good height in my opinion, we can easily step over them (5’8” and 5’10”).Oh and as you can probably see in the photos, I have baseboards and they install well there.Really I don’t have anything negative to say about these!

Impossible to release clip- don’t buy !
I should have listened to another review that said the locking clip was impossible to use! Bought this gate to keep my dog in my bedroom when guests were here, yet allow her to look down the hall to see us. Great look to this, although I can see how people could snap the bar by closing it even a little too tightly, as it’s just thin wood, didn’t look so strong to me. But the real problem is the locking clip. I tried and tried but it was way too tight to open, as the design has a bend that goes under the bar to hold it…but it goes too far, the clip is too tight and you can’t open it. I had my husband try, as he’s stronger, he even had a difficult time. He finally got it open after many tries and said it was ridiculous. And this clip is thick, strong metal, don’t think you’ll be able to make it a little looser using a pliers to open it slightly because it has zero give because of thickness. As you can see from my pics, the bend in the clip goes pretty far under the far, but when you try to pull the bar up, the strong metal has zero give to bend enough to release it from the bar, so it can only be done with the utmost fires and even that was hard! Then snapping it back to lock there’s a real potential, because you have to force it, to pinch the skin on your hand. And if that happens, there’s no way you’re pulling this bar back up with one hand because it’s almost impossible to do with two and using brute force. I can’t imagine what I’d do if I pinched my skin in this clip while trying to close it, I’d be in trouble. There is NO WAY I’m going to even try using this gate on a regular basis. When I received this, although the packing was intact, the box had been obviously retaped. I have a feeling the last person tried it also before removing most packaging and couldn’t do it either and returned it. My hubby asked if we should order another but the clip is the clip, what’s to say the next clip won’t be just as hard to handle? Bad design with this clip. I’m 73 and my family used this type of gate for years when we were young, never had a problem , our gates lasted years and the clips on the old gates held but snapped closed easily, yet held fine. Not this. Save your money

looks great, secure when inserted correctly but it is a bit on the flimsy side.
The fence looks great and goes nicely with my restoration hardware decor. But I can see if you’re not careful, you could snap the arms. (which only happens if you over tighten between the walls.) This does not work well if you have floor moldings around the room, the rubber stoppers are tight at the bottom but too loose at the top. Obviously that’s because the floor moldings are further out than the walls. It fits flush and securely in the doorway though. I’ll probably just add rubber washers under the top rubber stoppers to compensate for the floor moldings width. Easy fix but if I move gate from door to hallway, it won’t fit in the door way securely then. small problem for a really nice look. SO even though it’s a bit flimsy, it fits securely when properly installed.

Tengo diferentes barreras de protección para un bebé y esta sin duda es la que más me gusta y volvería a comprar. Me gustaría que hubiera de una medida más extendida para colocarla en espacios más grandes. Recomendada.

Excelente calidad y es muy bonito y práctico

Se rompió la segunda vez que lo usé en una puerta.
