Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this seat cushion to use at my office desk, and it has completely solved my tailbone pain. I sit for long hours at work, and the discomfort was getting unbearable. After just a few days of using this cushion, the pain started to ease, and now it’s completely gone.It provides excellent support and relieves pressure on the tailbone without being too soft or too firm. I leave it on my office chair and barely notice it. If you’re dealing with tailbone pain at work, I highly recommend giving this cushion a try. It worked perfectly for me.

Big and comfy
I fell and hurt my tailbone so I came to Amazon to find something to sit on while working 8+ hours a day. This works okay. I say okay because it ends up not being as puffed up after a few hours of sitting on it. It did help with pain until my tailbone healed. I would buy it again.I don’t recommend purchasing this to use in a car. I couldn’t use it in my car as it was a bit big to sit correctly in the seat and it made me sit too high in the car. It does work well when used on straight back chairs.

TL;DR: It’s great for a soft, butt cuddling, large rear ended person and light enough to switch between seats in an office.First off, I’m 265lbs, 5’7″ and I have a plump derrière and generous upper thighs. I struggle to fit comfortably in airplane seats, new car “racecar seats” that they all have now, and most “normal” seats at doctors’ and other offices are uncomfortable on my thighs.{Background skip if you just want the review} I have a condition called pressure induced urticaria, and I’m “blessed” to have it on my butt and thighs when it happens. [It is an excruciatingly painful rash that forms where pressure is highest when I am having an anaphylactic reaction to that pressure.] The rash can be activated if I sit on any non-padded chair or a seat tight in the butt/thigh area. I sat on a sleeping type pillow for two years at work to prevent the rash from starting. That explanation being central to my review though.I started a new job and the seats are like sitting on hard bench seats. The way these seats are designed, a pillow won’t stay on it, so I had to find something else to try. I read reviews for every other cushion that said “large” “extra large” “plus sized” “big and tall” etc. When super slim/normal people said “fits great!” I knew it wouldn’t work. I have 3 of the Cushion lab seat and back cushions. They would be great if they were wider. I was sitting on one of those when the rash started (no blame just bad timing), so I couldn’t use them, but knew what the issue was.This cushion had reviews saying it was too “smushy/squishy” and didn’t support their back. (CHECK! I didn’t need it for my back, I needed smushy/squishy for my butt.) I read that “normal” people said it was too wide (CHECK! Good sign I have a big butt), other people said “Too big for my seat” (CHECK! Big butts need big chairs!). While people complained about the rolled up compression for shipping, I had thought maybe it would contribute to making it “squishier” for me.Tada! While it is too high to use in my Jeep Wrangler (the Jeep has a wide seat that doesn’t squish me so not needed there) my work chair has more than enough width to put this on (It didn’t seem too wide, but it is thick so I had to drop the seat to the lowest height so my feet rested on the ground, and my arms were keyboard height.) It doesn’t come off as I readjust my positioning if I start feeling pressure anywhere. I also have a lab location I work in that has the same awful chairs as my regular desk, and since they aren’t ASSigned seats (pun intended), I can’t just leave a cushion there. So, I take this with me between the locations on different floors. It is not too heavy, and not too bulky to carry up and down an office building full flight of stairs (see? trying to shrink that big butt I have).So Goldilocks has found her office chair(s) perfect cushion. I am trying to buy a new car, (gas mileage is a killer on a 19mpg Jeep driving 65mi each way), and I’m still looking for a seat cushion that will overcome the stupidly small car seat issue, but this one is just too big (to me), but I am on the tall side.I hope this long-drawn out story both helped educate and entertain you.
