So worth it!!! Long thorough review:
I just had my first baby and already have anxiety but was informed about SIDS right before their birth. I spent the first 2 weeks of their life getting around an hour of sleep per day because their dad got very sick as soon as we got home from the hospital and couldn’t help me take care of them, and I found myself up the entire night and day listening to their breathing or zooming in on the monitor to watch their breathing. As I became increasingly tired I started a desperate search for something to monitor her breathing. I stumbled upon the sock monitors and after doing some research I found that it was not for me, as they monitor heart rate instead of breathing, and I believe that the breathing stops a bit before the heart does which would render it useless for if the situation arises for us to have to try to save our baby in the middle of the night. Eventually I found this. I could not waitttt to see the package at my door, and immediately set it up and put it on my baby. The device and app are both super easy to use, it includes an extra clip for in case one breaks, and it’s so convenient to replace watch batteries instead of charging it. I have tested this countless times by not turning it off during diaper changes and every time the alarm has gone off, though if you either clip it to your shirt, put it in your pocket, or set it on the couch beside you it won’t go off while changing. I’ve had zero false alarms and the base even has a night mode to disable the light. For a while I was unable to get notifications to work properly on my phone (ios), the notification would pop up and the base would alarm but my phone would not make any notification sound no matter what. (I would have still heard the base alarm through the regular baby monitor if something had happened). I emailed the company and they got back to me very quickly and said they were passing the problem along to their app developers to fix the issue. Since then, there has been a software update in the app that took no time at all, and now the notifications are working for me. Unsure if it was supposed to be part of the update or just happened to fix itself or what but I’m very happy with the customer service from them. I was looking for something to just alarm me if my baby stops breathing but everything else in the app is definitely a plus and I am beyond happy I got this. I am definitely not one to write reviews but I am just so grateful for this product for allowing me to sleep and ease my stress and also monitor the room temp and baby’s temp. Sorry for the long review but I hope it helps somebody lol if you also worry a lot I couldn’t recommend this product more

Straightforward Product that Serves the Most Important Purpose
I love this thing. Our kid is a *very* early roller and this has greatly decreased my anxiety when he’s sleeping. We also have baby monitors, including one that tracks breathing without the use of a wearable device, but it doesn’t serve the same purpose as the Sense-U. The fact that this device sets off an immediate audible alarm in the nursery & to my phone when there is a concerning event sets it apart from other similar products & makes it invaluable in my opinion.

Very useful and gives me a peace of mind when baby sleeps
We are using the Sense-U baby monitor at night when the baby sleeps, and it gives us alerts when the baby sleeps on stomach or stops breathing, which provides us with great peace of mind. I would highly recommend it!

Inconsistent
Extremely inaccurate and a waste of money. Barley tracks breathing consistently and forget about it having accurate sleep patterns. I’m constantly checking it and there will be hours at night the breathing portion is missing. Very frustrating. For the price I paid I wish I would have gone with the sock.

Peace of mind with a reflux baby
While I was pregnant, I was torn on whether or not to order something that would help monitor our baby at night. Ultimately, I decided against it because of negative reviews. However, our little one just turn two months and has been suffering from reflux. This causes her to cough and gag a lot in the middle of the night, despite several other interventions.I did extensive reading of reviews and product information on different monitoring systems and decided to go with the Sense-U. It appeared the least “invasive” and user-friendly.It arrived promptly and was fairly easy to setup. It took less than 30 minutes total to unpackage and have it ready to go.The clip / monitor that goes onto the baby is nice because it uses a battery that does not require charging (one less thing for my mama brain to remember!) I keep it near her diaper station when its not in use so it is easy to access when we are getting ready for bed.The device monitors breathing / min, body temp, and body position. Although there have been occasional delays or times that it will not connect (most likely due to my wifi or something blocking the monitor from its home base), it works very well and gives me peace of mind. Our monitor has set off quite a few times (once for high / low temp, another for when she was on her tummy – I forgot to remove the monitor before repositioning her) – the alarm sound is the perfect volume for us as its not so loud that if it accidentally went off it would startle our baby, but it is loud enough that it would wake me.Overall, I am glad that I purchased the Sense-U. It is cheaper than other options, but still gets the job done. One thing that can be improved is the issue with it going “offline” at times.. I do wish there was better troubleshooting / help with this.
