I bought this for my son in law after we’ve used one we purchased a year ago. It’s accurate and very handy for checking internal meat temp on the fly. I highly recommend this for anyone that needs an easy, quick meat thermometer.

Bought many thermometers before spending the extra money on this one. Best money ever spent. You know the saying you get what you pay for. The temperature reading is exact. All the others I bought were 10 – 12 degrees off and I returned all of them. Love this one and recommend if you arelooking for an accurate reading thermometer… this is the one. Works great, very fast, very adjustable. Only thing is the magnet does not stickbto my stove, the back splash or on the end of my magnetic knife holder. It does stick to the refrigerator across the room

New favorite cooking tool
I have several other analog and digital meat thermometers. They won’t be used again. I love this product. Quick read, very fine point on the probe, easy to use. I find myself using it to check things reheated in the microwave as well as on the barbecue. Game changer.

Added review:I’ve been using this unit for months now mainly in cooking meat and some deep frying. The unit is sturdy, easy to use and extremely fast response time in temp readout. Very happy.This thermometer works as stated. To turn it on just swing the probe out from the home/seated position and to turn it off swing the probe back to the home position.The unit is substantial and easy to handle. And so professionally packaged.No more waiting for the temperature probe to stabilize to read a temperature, like this ThermoProbe is instant as you can get. And yes, the readout flips to to a readable orientation if you measure from the left side or the right side.If it can be said that a thermometer is a pleasure to use, This ThermoProbe Lightening is indeed a pleasure to use!I hope I get many years use from it. The very probe end is very fine and care has to be taken not to damage it. Just don’t drop it, and insert straight in and out.
