My First Camera Monitor
This is the very first monitor I’ve purchased for my camera, and honestly, it has been one of the best investments I’ve made. It allows me to view everything almost in real time—with just a slight millisecond delay—but the image still looks great. It makes both autofocus and manual focus much easier, and when it comes to composition, everything feels far more dynamic. On top of that, it’s extremely simple to use.That being said, the user interface is not the monitor’s strongest point—it isn’t as intuitive as I expected. Updating the drivers can also be a hassle, since you have to contact the brand’s customer support, wait for them to send you the driver, and then go through the installation process. Another small drawback is that, to update the firmware or use LUTs on the monitor, you must use an SD card with a maximum of 8GB. Great product. I would love if it wold have included the wire for my Sony a7cii, the HDMI-A to HDMI-D.

Este monitor me deja sorprendido por que por mucho menos tiene detalles que otros con el doble del precio no tienen, trae su pila que es recargable esto es perfecto para no tener que cargar tanta cosa en la maleta, laimagen que muestra es estupupenda y sus ayudas de exposicion son las que deberian tener todo monitor, facil de personalizar con sus tres bototnes de ayuda rapida y facil de navegar por el menu con su gran boton de navegacion lo hacen bien comodo de usar sobre todo si lo tienes montado en un rig de video, el detalle de que trae un acceosrioo para poder verlo en la luz del sol que no es la tipica telita de velcro es genial, y ademas se quita de una forma facil, su pantalla no es la mas brillante pero por mucho es mas brillante que la luz de los monitores de su valor que van por los 450 a 500 nits este trae 1000 nits y relamente si tiene un brillo muy aceptable, de conexiones va con lo estandar, lo puedes usar con toma a la pared , con pila y usarlo horizontal o vertical, ( no se quien lo usaria en vertical pero igual tiene la opcion) no es pesado, y su tamaño es el ideal para montarlo en un RIG profesional, estoy contento con la compra, vengo de monitores Feelworld, que son muy buenos pero este si tiene un acabado superior debo decir, y eso que mi freelworld es de los mas costosos de la marca, de aqui solo queda saltar a atomos ninja V.

The Viltrox DC-550 Pro is very useful and highly recommended. I have now used it in the studio and in the field extensively.The 5.5” monitor size gives a very crisp and color-accurate image that allows for a better judgment of the image then the smaller monitor of the camera.In the studio I have used the Viltrox DC-550 Pro for macro photos of jewelry. The larger monitor allows a better view and judgment of focus point, depth of view and correct illumination of the subject to be photographed.In the field I have used the Viltrox monitor to film and photograph small objects such as insects, mushrooms and flowers. Again, in this environment the monitor proofed to give a more accurate and larger image for producing excellent results. The monitor brightness can be adjusted and is very good also in bright daylight; the attachable sunshade is well-made and is a further benefit for work outdoors.The Viltrox DC-550 Pro is beautiful in its appearance and solid and well built; yet it is relatively light when considering its unique and extensive capabilities. It has many useful features and the controls and menus are intuitive.I have used the monitor with the battery attached, but in situations where the weight of the camera plus the monitor was critical, I have used it without the battery attached but with an external power supply tethered. I like this flexibility.

Ĺove this piece of kit

He intentado contactar con el soporte tecnico de Viltrox para saber si hay alguna actualización de firmware, imposible. No contestan los emails después de varias semanas.Por otro lado la configuración de las zebras, al menos en el firmware actual es MUY mala. Solo se puede poner un nivel de zebras, ni lower limit ni nada. Una pena porque estoy se podría arreglar facilmente con actualización de software
