Pre-used, broken, and returned. Such a disappointment…
I had high hopes for this one… [Edit/update: … and Voltrox made sure my expectations were exceeded!]***Make sure to read original post and edit/update. This went from a 1-star review to a 5-star!***Original 1-star review:After all the research I did… I landed on this brand and model. I received a package where 2 seals on the Viltrox box had already been cut… (so the one I received was most likely used and returned)…. When I first plugged it in, there was just a black screen (pink if you pressed certain buttons). After trying the battery and a Usb-c cable, the screen would come on normally 2/25 times. Every other time, it was solid black or fuzzy. I also tried multiple HDMI cables and sources… but it’s obviously the monitor that is the problem. It’s really frustrating to have to send it back and do more research on other brands. The picture on the monitor looked great… when it worked… but I’m not paying $250+ for a monitor that I have to turn off and on until it starts up right. Plus, that wouldn’t last long term anyway. I sent it back and emailed Viltrox. No response.I imagine the first person that received this monitor… found out it wasn’t working and sent it back… Then it was put right back on the shelf without any testing, fixing, or even repackaging… then, a monitor that they should have known was broken, was sent to me… only to be returned. The Amazon box wasn’t opened, only the Viltrox box. I paid for a “New” monitor, not a used one.I was a first and last-time Viltrox customer. Viltrox is welcome to try and win me back by sending me a working one, but I’m not holding me breath… I’d probably have better chances of winning the lottery.I don’t recommend buying this product.[End of original 1-star review]Edit/Update: 5-star ReviewI was overly harsh on Viltrox before, because most (if not all) or the original product issues were most likely not Viltrox’s fault. The first product was obviously a return, which never made it back to Viltrox before it came to me. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions on what happened… and what happens, if you receive a used product that is supposed to be new.Anyways, Viltrox went above and beyond to make this right, despite it most likely being damaged by someone other than Viltrox. Even if Viltrox shipped out a faulty product, I should have never received an open and used product. Even if the original product was faulty, the customer service when above and beyond to make it right. I am very thankful because this is an amazing monitor. The price isn’t insane like some others and the picture is awesome! I researched for while and I am happy that I got an amazing product… and was treated really well by Viltrox employees. It gives me hope because they seem to really believe in their products and care about their customers… providing high quality without a huge price tag. This monitor was worth the wait and extra hassle it took to get a new, working product. I was just planning on returning and I wasn’t looking forward to either: Get lower quality for the same or lower price… or pay a chunk more for something that may not be as good. If you’re looking for a monitor, go with Viltrox. I hope they continue treating people as they would like to be treated… as well as contain putting out amazing products!A lot of businesses don’t understand how important customer service is anymore… and they don’t usually want to make sacrifices or go the extra mile to do the right thing… especially when they could just blame someone else and leave you hanging.Thanks Viltrox, Keep up the good work!

A must have for a serious videographer!
Simple to mount/demount, very bright and sharp display. Looks awesome on (any) rig! Function buttons are easy to program.The provided battery is on a small size. I’d say it might lasts 30-40 minutes of continuous use. Fortunately larger batteries are reasonable priced.It comes with a screen protector which is awesome.My only challenge is this display does not work with any refresh rate over 30fps. So if you are primarily/occasionally shooting 50/60/120 etc. The device becomes useless. However if this feature can be added via software update it can become a real powerhouse of a device.

Very very bright
This monitor is super bright. The color is great and the build quality is honestly great. My only concern is that the monitor mount it comes with is so stiff that when you try to tilt the monitor sometimes the screen flexes and the included screen protector starts to pop off. Once you stop adjusting it then it goes back to normal. All the included functions are helpful, my favorite being focus peaking. From what I can tell the picture quality is the same as a Shinobi.

Muy completo el monitor (sunhood, batería, cables, etc,), solo me gustaría hacer update a esta review cuando tenga mayor uso (lo llevo usando poco más de tres semanas), pues hasta ahora funciona muy bien (el único detalle algo molesto es que hay un poco de delay en 24fps, lo demás todo bien)

Al probar el monitor de campo de Viltrox, y sobre todo si no has usado algún monitor de campo antes, se nota una diferencia abismal en la forma en la que grabas video. Sin entrar todavía en el producto en concreto, un monitor de campo, cualquiera, te dan una pantalla mucho mejor y más grande que la de las cámaras, y tienes mucho mejor control del enfoque y el encuadre, eres capaz de gestionar mejor la exposición y el color ya que son mucho más brillantes y con mejor reproducción cromática, puedes además moverlos libremente y usarlos en ángulos impensables con la pantalla integrada y dependiendo de los modelos pueden llegar a tener funciones extra que hacen el trabajo más sencillo y de mejor calidad. Como decía, es un cambio radical, de órdenes de magnitud y quien lo ha probado no puede volver atrás a no ser que sea por un tema de fuerza mayor.Este monitor en concreto, de Viltrox, es táctil y tiene una pantalla de 6 pulgadas con una muy buena calidad, imágenes claras y detalladas, y que cumple a la perfección con todas las ventajas enumeradas anteriormente y que comparten los monitores de una cierta calidad, y este, por descontado, lo es. Está fabricado en aluminio, no plástico, lo que ya da a entender que estamos ante un producto pensado para durar, con muy buen ensamblaje, sin torsiones, botones que responden bien y puertos de conexión que ajustan perfectamente. La pantalla es de alta luminosidad con 2000 nits declarados y funciona perfectamente incluso en exteriores. Además contamos con un parasol plegable que reduce los reflejos y ayuda a proteger la pantalla cuando no se está usando.Cuenta con un interface táctil que responde muy bien, y que permite acceder rápidamente a funciones como el histograma y el pico de enfoque, ajustando parámetros en tiempo real sin complicaciones. Además puedes cargar LUTs personalizadas usando el puerto USB da la oportunidad de previsualizar cómo se verán las grabaciones después de postproducción, ayudando muchísimo a mantener una coherencia visual.Evidentemente el monitor añade un peso extra al equipo, por lo que es recomendable instalarlo junto a algún sistema de balanceo de carga o de jaula y unos mangos que nos ayuden a mantener estable el equipo. Recordar también que el monitor necesita baterías (se incluye una de Viltrox, compatible NP-F) y eso nos va a añadir algún gramo más al conjunto, pero es totalmente recomendable porque las ventajas superan con mucho los pequeños inconvenientes.

Ich bin damit sehr zufrieden. Im Vergleich zu anderen Ausführungen und Herstellern habe ich hier das beste Preis Leistungsverhältnis! Super hochwertig verarbeitet, tolles case!
