Great Gate
This gate has done great to keep my young kids from getting to where I don’t want them to go, they cannot figure out how to operate the latch.Make sure to use good wall anchors on dry wall and it holds great.

Love Not Having the Bottom Bar
This not having a bar across the bottom was my primary reason for wanting to try this. I also love that it’s not plastic, and much more sturdy. It’s a bit tricky to open/lock one handed and it’s a bit of a learning curve to get this working properly. It didn’t take too long to set up, but at least there’s little chance that anyone other than an adult will be able to get this open. It’s a sturdy gate and swings open easily once the lock/mechanism can be negotiated. The wheels work well, so long as there’s no carpet or rugs involved! That said, this mounts with plastic which is fine but care has to be taken not to tug or push too hard against the mounts when opening. The bars are sturdy and this works well, but it takes a ‘minute’ to pause and open. Not a dealbreaker, but a factor for sure.

I’ve been collecting baby gates for our tri level house (stairs. Stairs EVERYWHERE), and also cats, and dogs. Got extra tall to keep critters out of the way, and babies from trying to reach up and copy my movements. The latch is definitely baby-proof, but also almost adult-proof. Don’t try to open in a hurry. I’m glad these mount into the walls, but too many tugs could still bust. I am very happy about the lack of bottom bar. Finally no tripping hazard. The auto close swing is great too.

Probably shouldn’t buy it
Not an easy installation. Instructions were not clear. My gate does not feel secure on one side. Very frustrating. Looks nice but not sure how long it will last. Would not recommend or buy again.

Great exterior gate
This was very easy to assemble. We use it outdoors on our deck and it has held up well in all weather thus far. It’s easy to open but not easy enough for kids to figure it out simply.

It’s not so heavy that it’s going to rip the wall apart, but sturdy enough that it’s not going to fall apart tomorrow.- Height is great. Even my 70-lb. staffie doesn’t try to jump over it.CON(S)- One-handed opening is just not do-able, not for me anyway.- Value is questionable.
