Great clothing drying rack
This bamboo clothes dryer is functional, looks great, is sturdy & was a great price. The size was was approximately 1.5 inches smaller in width & depth & height than anticipated, but perfect for my granddaughters space in her dorm room. When unfolding the fully assembled rack, the legs/pieces were stuck together (perhaps the polyurethane sealant was not dry before packing). Because of that, parts were rough & splintered. Rubbing sandpaper over all those areas smoothed things out perfectly.

Small, but Good Quality
It’s small and fits nicely in the corner of the room and collapses down to store it away. I was able to put about 5 pairs of pants on it at a time. Holds up really well under the weight of wet clothes and over the years, has not deteriorated in any way

Overall, it is an acceptable rack. I would’ve preferred it to be a little heavier wood and a little taller. I have another one that I’ve been using for years and needed an additional space for drying.

Unfortunately, quality and functionality was sacrificed for aesthetics. This rack looks nice and is sturdy, however, the positive review ends there. It will ruin your clothes and whatever else you hand on there. It has a strong odor that transferred onto my clean clothes causing me to have to re-wash them, which isn’t a huge deal, BUT the color/wood stain bled onto my items leaving large brown stripes across everything. It came out of one piece after a wash, but a very expensive rug is permanently stained even after multiple stain removal techniques and a lot of elbow grease. Additionally, it has a rough texture that snags fabric and will splinter your hand if you’re not careful. I missed the cut-off to return it because it sat in the box a while before I used it, so I’m stuck with it. I think I might try to sand it and give it a clear coat of polyurethane. If that doesn’t work, it’s going in the garbage. Bummer.

Some assembly required?
There used to be stories about the American automotive industry: never buy a car assembled on a Monday or Friday (the workers still had the weekend on the brain, so fit and finish will be sloppy) or during a labor dispute (the old glass Coke bottle in the gas tank, rocks in the hubcaps, etc.). These were likely myths passed along by anti-union folks, but i kinda think the Home-it Wooden Clothes Drying Rack for Laundry – Collapsible Folding Bamboo Laundry Drying Rack i received was a Monday/Friday build. One leg was somehow not full attached (you had one job, screwdriver operator!). Luckily, I just happen to own a screwdriver so it was easily remedied.That said, it does seem quite sturdy – definitely sturdier than the cheap pine versions I’ve destroyed in the past by hanging damp clothes on them.

I don’t know how this has received such a high rating. The instructions were unclear (which is being generous) and towards the end it was easier to hold up each sized piece until I found the one which fitted. I think it would benefit from bolts and washers to make it sturdier, and easier to fold and unfold. Now it’s up I can tell it won’t hold much weight. I’ll keep it for drying more delicate items and look for something better…
