GREAT starter kit!
AMAZING! We love Kinetic sand! We had a wedding that both of my young kids were in and I had to figure out how to keep them busy for hours prior to the start of the wedding. Well, I bought two of these and made sensory boxes. The tools that come with this kit are so much fun to play with. Super easy to clean up, not smelly like playdough, and super fun to play with even for me!

The tools are great, will last a long time. Though I wish the sand smooshing tool stayed together when built, the bottom rounded side has a lid that easily pops off.The mat shown in the listing is just a piece of paper they put in the box it will not last for long term use.You get three colors of sand but not much of each color. Even with all three sand colors in the provided bag it doesn’t even fill the bag half way.If you want to fill a sensory bin you will need to purchase additional sand.unscented.

Great for every age! Everybody likes this stuff whether you think you do or not.. put a little in your hand and you’re hooked at least for a couple of minutes. This kit makes it so you don’t have to buy piece-by-piece if you’re giving it as a present. All the tools keep my kids busy and creative and they’re free to play at their sand table and walk away from it without worrying about it drying out, melting or getting blown away, they can return to it whenever they want with things still (mostly) intact. I will say if you have pets indoors where kids will play with this, say goodbye to any of the sand that falls on the floor. It will catch the fur and never let go.I didn’t give my kids all of the sand at once, you already know.. the first thing they did was mash it all up into one doodoo brown color even after I told them not to. Then when they were sad because they couldn’t separate the colors again, I asked if they’d listen to me this time and then gave them the chunks I kept away :)This is worth the money, and easy to pick up when I know one of my younger kid’s friends hasa birthday coming up.

I bought this for my students with autism and they love it! It came with more sand and bigger tools than I expected-what a pleasant surprise! The sand holds up really well. It comes with one bag to keep the sand in after opening the non-resealable bags the colors come in so I just used two additional Ziploc bags to keep the colors separate. The cleanup is relatively quick since the sand sticks together. It is a great sensory tool or reward for students with autism.

Keeps my toddler occupied for about 45 minutes!
This kit comes with all you need to start your journey with kinetic sand! I started by just having my toddler use the sand alone and then added little toy bugs for her to find. And this was the perfect addition to help her fine motor skills. Each tool works differently and gives time for the child to explore shapes, textures, and my toddler was even talking about the colors of the tools! I attached pictures of all the tools. It also came with three packs of sand. I already had a small pack so I only added in one more pack for now to keep them all from combining and turning a gross color so soon. I recommend using two packs of sand for quality play. It’s enough sand to play with all the tools. This was 100% worth the price. Sometimes you can find it less expensive on Michael’s website. And if you’re a teacher you get an additional 15% off there. If not, I still think it’s fully worth this price. My 1.5 year old loves it!
