Perfect for My 3-Year-Old — Fun, Educational, and Keeps Him Busy
I got these linking cubes for my 3-year-old son, and they’ve honestly exceeded my expectations. At first, I just wanted something colorful and hands-on to help him with fine motor skills, but they’ve turned out to be a great tool for learning and creative play.He loves snapping them together into “trains,” “snakes,” and tall towers — and even though he’s still working on his hand strength, the pieces click together with just enough resistance to give him a little challenge without getting frustrated. They’re the perfect size for small hands — not too tiny to lose easily, but not bulky either.We’ve started practicing counting with them (he’s up to 20 now), and sorting by color has become part of our play routine. He’ll line up all the red ones or make patterns like blue-yellow-blue, which is a fun way to sneak in early math. Sometimes we play games where I build a shape and he tries to copy it — great for focus and spatial awareness.I was also surprised by how durable they are. He’s dropped them, stepped on them, even tried to bite one (toddler life!), and they’ve held up perfectly. No cracks, no worn-out connectors. The plastic is sturdy, and the colors are bright and engaging.One tip: they don’t come with a storage box, so we keep them in a clear bin with a lid, which makes cleanup easier and keeps pieces from ending up under the couch.If you have a toddler who loves to build, stack, or just explore with their hands, these cubes are a fantastic investment. Great linking cubes!
As a homeschool family, these linking cubes are a must have!I have a kiddo in PreK this year, and these have helped so much with teaching her to count and add.The colors are fun and vibrant.They link together easily, and unlink with a simple tug. They’re sturdy enough to link into the hundreds place without falling apart. You can link just the top piece to keep the connected lines moveable or link top and bottom to make it more tight and secure.I store these in an open top basket for ease of access, but obviously a simple small tote or any other container will work for storing these as well. It does not come with anything to store them in, so you’ll want to have something on hand when you order so you dont lose pieces.I definitely recommend these to any parent or guardian, homeschooler or not, to help give your kids a visual while learning their numbers, adding, subtracting, and basic multiplication/division.

Great math manipulative for tactile learners!
These small math manipulatives are excellent! They allow kids who are more tactile in learning to physically touch things to understand math concepts. You get 200 blocks – 10 each of 20 different colors, each being about half an inch squares. Using these helps kids to understand basic math concepts, from addition, to subtraction, to shapes and how to make them with blocks. These are very durable, and my 5 year old has used them several times to connect things to make shapes, which I then had him count how many squares are in the shape. I would think these would make a great item for someone who homeschools, or a preschool teacher or younger elementary teacher who wants to help kids learn math in different ways.

Okay for a start
If you’re just starting out and don’t already have any unit blocks, this is a pretty solid set to go with. The pieces are good quality for the price and work well for basic math activities like counting, adding, and subtracting. That said, they don’t match up with the original name-brand unit blocks, which was a bit of a letdown for us. We already had the number blocks set from a few years ago and wanted to expand it so we could work on higher numbers, but these aren’t compatible. They don’t quite line up right and tend to fall out of place if you’re trying to build a longer rod of blocks.For casual use or starting fresh, they’ll get the job done just fine. But if you’re hoping to mix them in with name-brand pieces you already have, just know they won’t fit quite right. It would’ve been helpful if that had been made clearer upfront. Still, for what they are, they’re a useful learning tool and a good value. I’m giving them 4 stars overall.

A bit too limiting
The design of these is a bit too limiting. There is only 1 (really 2 since there are 2 sets) of each color of block that has 2 protruding pegs, while the others of the same color only have 1. That really limits the types of designs that can be made unfortunately. Additionally the blocks do not stay connected as they have loose tolerance and slide off making it a bit aggravating for young ones. I would steer clear of these and go with some of the more well known building blocks or at least the copies/clones of those.

Perfect for visual learners
These cubes have been a schooling staple as long as I can remember. Now that my daughter is going into kindergarten, I thought these would be great to help with simple introductory math since my daughter is a very visual learner. They are bright and colorful and seem to snap together well. They seem a tad more expensive than I’d expect, but I guess that sums up about everything these days
