Great for kids who need help in math
Great set for helping kids with bath and learning place values. Super durable and great that they are magnetic as they help keep pieces together.

Great Set of Place Value Blocks
Unlike some reviews I read, my set fits together very well. I love the fact that it comes with a book of teaching suggestions for grades 3-6. It is just the right amount for tutoring. Enough but not too many!

    Perfect product for homeschool math
I am homeschooling my 6-year-old, and these blocks are PERFECT for our math lessons. We initially had paper blocks in 1, 10, and 100 sizes, but my daughter wasn’t understanding. The plastic blocks made everything come together, and we’re breezing through our lessons now. We’re working on concepts including place value, 3- and 4-digit numbers, and greater than/less than. The blocks make everything so easy! We have used them in every single lesson so far this year.Another point to note is that my daughter plays with these blocks during her free time. She loves to stack and count them. She makes stairs out of them and plays just like she would with Legos.I really debated about buying these blocks, but I’m glad I did. They’re sturdy enough to keep them for my younger daughter, as well.

Only good to hundreds – Good Product
This kit includes one thousands block, Which is enough to give an idea and understanding of how big one thousand is, however you could archive the same thing by using 10 units of the one hundred blocks. I use this product with an abacus and writing numbers for helping my 5 year old understand numbers. The Workbook is for older children and I’ve only skimmed it. After only a few days (10 minutes at a time) my daughter can now add 400 + 400 as easy as she can add 4+4. The Abacus and these blocks are really helping understand concepts of the base ten system including carrying over as needed when adding 8+4. You can start using these blocks once counting to ten has been mastered. Recommending age 3.5 However the one units are a chocking hazard. My daughter asks to do the math blocks with me at least 4 times a day. However we only do them once a day.

    Perfect for so many reasons!
These are perfect for my students to use for so many math concepts. I LOVE that the ones snap together to make a ten then the tens snap together to make a hundred. They are great for developing fine motor skills too!! Our OT said they are the perfect size, so she ordered some.

    Great buy
I homeschool and had previously used K12 products for math. Their set had a lot of manipulatives in them including Base Ten blocks and snap cubes. I was looking to purchase something close to what K12 had. I really like this set, its actually better then K12. I love how they interlock and stack. I put the blocks in some Ziploc bags and store them in the box it came in and there’s room fo rmy snap cubes too. A must buy for math curriculum.

it helped my little understand th tens place better, and we are able to count by one …
they are not engineered to interlock seamlessly. we have had issues with trying to click them together. overall, it helped my little understand th tens place better, and we are able to count by one hundred and UNDERSTAND what it means. decent product.

Awesome product to help students with place value.
I love these resources that help students understand why the mathematics works and not just how. I love the durability but kind of wish the thousands block was able to be pulled apart and used as more hundreds. It would just give more flexibility for different concepts. These are pretty awesome, however!

READ REVIEW – the quality is amazing! Learning Resource always lives up to its reputation. I used this set for a day or so but returned it and will buy the bigger set. 800+ pieces for 2x the price. Sounds more economical. I’m debating between the stackable pieces and none stackable pieces. The only thing I wish is that the stackable were smoother. They are not easily clicked together and taken apart. Other reviewers brought this point up as well. It’s not like LEGO and it’s really hard to stack and unstick especially for a 6 year old. Ultimately I recommend buying the bigger set. It will truly last for years as the kids increase their math knowledge. The booklet is great with exercises. I flipped through it quickly. Don’t hesitate and buy a set from Learning Resource. As stated I simply recommend the spending more money and buying the bigger set. And I’m leaning towards the un stackable one since it’s too hard to click them together.

As a teacher of pupils with math difficulties, I find I can’t live without this fab resource. The fact that units can be joined to make tens is a bonus because the children can physically convert lots of units into tens and are able to see the benefit of that. I managed to get this on sale. It was a few pounds more than another product which didn’t fix together but glad I made this decision. LDA products are usually sturdy and top quality-you won’t be disappointed. Great for anyone doing math-a must buy in my book.
