Great mattress protector.
We were so impressed with the cover that came with our mattress that we decided to buy one as a spare for rotation. It’s super comfortable and works just like we expected. It fits snugly, so I don’t have to worry about loose fabric, and the sheets fit well over it. It’s a lovely creamy color and washes easily.

Great mattress protector
I’m really pleased with this mattress protector. Yes it takes a long time to dry but it doesn’t bother me. I set it to low heat for 50 minutes and it’s dry. What’s more important is that it works to prevent leaks from going to the mattress and that it doesn’t have chemicals that are harmful for my kids. The water barrier is a food grade type of plastic in between the layers of soft cotton. You cannot feel or hear the plastic. I have a chemical free non waterproof mattress (from Sleep Essentials) so it’s really important that I have a pad that works so the mattress doesn’t get soiled. I actually have the fitted one around the mattress and then the flat one on top of that. When I change the sheets, I just remove the sheet and the flat mattress pad. I have 2 of the flat pads so I can wash one and use one. I’ve never had a leak go to the second pad and we’ve had some big leaks.Yes Naturepedic mattress pads are larger than others that I’ve used. But it’s never caused a problem and actually I’m glad because sometimes we get a leak that goes all the way to the edge of the bed and some other covers I’ve had in past don’t protect the edges and they’ve leaked.Since I’m very happy with these pads, I recently ordered one for a twin bed that will also be for a non waterproof chemical free natural latex mattress from Sleep Essentials.

Best mattress protector EVER!
This has been such a lifesaver! We have 3 of them! One for our crib, one to go over a couch cushion, and a third one as a spare. It’s so durable and thick! Our baby has had accidents and blow outs and nothing gets through this pad, so we are able to keep her mattress fresh and clean! Complete lifesaver!

PERFECT MAT FOR NIGHT TIME TOILET LEARNING!
Worth every penny. This thin ORGANIC mattress cover is perfect for our toilet learning two year old. Instead of disposable pants that absorb everything, we use cotton underwear and this pad so that she can experience feeling wet and train herself to wake up or to hold it for the rest of the night. We wrap her twin size mattress in the ‘wet zone’ over her sheet for naps and night time. If she wets, we simply strip this layer and replace with another pad. It is completely waterproof and has NEVER let any liquid through. This saves on laundry by day and time in the middle of the night when we are all very tired. It is breathable and comfortable to lay on top of. Best of all, there is absolutely no odor. I ordered an incontinence pad and it smelled so strongly of nylon and plastic that I had an instant headache. I washed it several times and the smell remained, leaving me concerned to place this on my child’s bed. The Naturpedic Pad is odorless from the start– very safe for adults and children. Anyway, we have had one of these pads since my daughter was a newborn and it still looks like new. We now have 3 in rotation and I highly recommend this product as a safe mattress cover for young infant’s bed, for a play mat to allow babies to have time out of a diaper each day without worry of ‘spills’ on the floor, and then as a mattress protector during toilet learning. Spend the money, you will not regret it!

Love it!
We LOVE these mattress protectors and they WORK! We bought our first to protect our new organic futon. My daughter has had multiple accidents and this has stopped all the pee from ruining the mattress!! We now have 4: one for the couch, one for our bed, one for her twin size bed and a crib sized one. We realized we didn’t need the crib one on the crib since it is a waterproof naturepedic mattress, so now we lay it sideways on her bed over her other mattress protector. That way we don’t have to do so much laundry in the middle of the night when she had an accident. (By the way, we also have the naturepedic crib mattress, twin mattress, pillow, bassinet pad and changing pad. Can you tell we love these products? Made in USA, actually hypoallergenic (can’t do wool in our house), flame retardant free (I trust their version of flame retardants), safety certified (GOTS and Greenguard?) and quality products. A little pricey, yes, but still way cheaper than a lot of other ‘organic’ products out there! And no, we are not rich. Solid working class here but we have invested in these over several years and it is totally worth it.)

Excellent waterproof mostly organic option
After a lot of research I purchased a Greenbuds mattress and organic cotton mattress pad for my son’s bedding. Their cotton mattress pad is not actually waterproof which is how it is able to be 100% organic. It works fairly well but takes forever to dry (days because you can’t put it in the dryer) after washing which is impractical for a baby’s bed. After researching, I thought this was the best waterproof mostly “organic” option and I’ve been very happy with the choice, in fact, I purchased a second one to have in case his bed gets wet at night. Great features:1. 100% waterproof2. Soft thick fabric3. Fits my crib perfectly4. Lays flat under the crib sheet without bunching or being bulky5. Machine wash warm and tumble dry low :-)The inner core of food grade polyurethane isn’t ideal, but neither is an all organic mattress wet with urine. I feel good about this product and am comfortable using it for my son’s bed.

Nice cover matress, it stays flat and it’s not too warm in summer. Feels natural, doesn’t smell like PVC like other cover matresse. I didn’t have any leak on the matress after littles accidents. Just consider that it could be long to dry if you don’t have a dryer which is my case so you need two for rotation.

After using this product for over a year I’ve come to the conclusion that I do not recommend it. It is not waterproof at all. Anytime there is a diaper leak or vomit you bet it has gone through this and into the mattress. It fits larger on the mattress but feels well made. I’m disappointed in the false advertising of being “waterproof”
