Honestly I want to give it 5 stars because my baby LOVESSSS this thing!! It definitely helped him gain strength in this torso because shortly after getting this, he was balancing much better and began crawling. We do love it! However 4 stars because the plastic they use is very strong smelling of chemicals…. and the outter rim with air was easily punctured. Also note: after a few months, the water inside becomes slimy and the plastic gets all slippery. We might try to clean it with soapy water and refill..but the flat rim is a bummer.

Putrid Toxic Smell
The smell of this thing when it comes out of the package is toxic beyond belief. I got an instant migraine. Even when scrubbing it several times and leaving it out for a week to air out it smelt so badly. We let it air out and scrubbed it a couple more times over several weeks and it’s still barely tolerable. We won’t be using it. If we hadn’t filled it with water thinking it would be functional soon (many weeks ago) we’d return it. If you are sensitive to smells and/or don’t want your baby playing on something the smells like a plastic/motor oil manufacturing plant. I would suggest you pass.

My son loves this. It’s so good for sensory play. Looks really good! Easy to fill up and empty. Colours are so bright and vibrant. An amazing price to pay to keep your baby entertained for ages.

Great mat! I wanted one that would be big enough for both my kids (3 years old,11 months) to use this summer in heatwaves to cool off. I know from last experience these water mats can get pretty cold, which is exactly what I needed! They don’t sit in it together in case it’s too much weight, but the baby crawls around on it and sits on it and my toddler can do so when the baby is not on it, or have his feet on it or something.It is a bit awkward to fill up! Luckily I had my husband to help.And obviously, since it’s full of water, it’s pretty heavy when full.But we love it and I would purchase it again!

One of my favorite baby toys to help encourage tummy time! Our daughter loves this for both tummy time and we like it for back time. A little trick we use is to fill it with warm water, which she seems to find more comfortable. The only downside is that it is hard to fill without making a mess. I think future updates of this product will have the hole a little closer to the edge to make that easier.
