Excellent Choice for Baby / Puppy Proofing
Works great. Bought this to puppy proof our kitchen. At first, it was adult proof because I could not figure it out! But after some playing around, It mastered it. The decoy button is definitely an added bonus for human toddlers. It will keep them busy and distracted. It takes some real double handed adult strength to unlock. This product adds multiple layers of safety to cabinets you don’t want curious minds getting into. It’s size fits perfectly in between my two cabinets. Great value for your money!!

This works as well as I had hoped.
I have a 3-year old granddaughter who loves to get into all of my cupboards. I have some older model locks that I can’t find anymore. I like this new version even better. (Photos show new and old style.) I purchased the OutSmart Flex Lock to keep her from getting to some of my glass and ceramic dishes. Right away she tried to push the button to open the lock. No luck. She gave up. It even fooled my 20-year old daughter. Everyone thinks the button is a real feature! LOL

Finally Stopped Houdini!
I have a 5 year old that is super smart and has figured out all other options I have tried. I have been careful to always block his view when I open it and so far he has not been able to figure it out! Great option for stronger kiddos (like mine) that can rip off the corded options (plus the corded ones could pose a strangulation risk).

Easy to open and close (though somewhat awkward to setup and install). Flexible design that works with different handle types. Terrific ‘fake out’ button that kept my toddler occupied before he decided that trying to get into the cabinet wasn’t that exciting after all. In other words, exactly what I needed. He barely even glances at the cabinet doors anymore. Though sometimes he does swing by to push the button a few times just for fun. That said, if you pull out on the lock, the doors will open slightly. I can see how a little might be able to wriggle their way to get their hands on something, but it would have to be small in order for them to successfully get it out from under the cabinet doors. And honestly, it would be a lot of work. My little moves on at a certain point, but if yours doesn’t, this might not be the best choice.

Tricky, but they work
I have 3 of these. They serve their purpose, but can be difficult to close sometimes. Hubby and I had a really hard time initially figuring out how to open the top…not as far as the buttons, but on how to actually open it. You have to pull the cabinet doors towards you as you push the release buttons. We almost cut them off the first time cuz we couldn’t get it to pull apart until it accidentally happened in our frustration. 🤣🤦🏼♀️ Sometimes the alignment gets off when closing them and that can be annoying to try to fix. Luckily these aren’t cabinets we get in/out of frequently.

Worth the purchase
Works as it should. The button in the middle foils the little ones. My nephew thought he was one click away from getting his hands into the cabinet and sike his mind.

Not my Favorite!
We have multiple Safety 1st child locks for cabinets. The slide lock was one of the first and I loved that I could unlock it with one hand and it was easy to use. This looks the same just meant for knobs instead of handles, and is supposed to function the same but it does not. It is hard to open, hard to lock, and has on more than one occasion kept me out of our bathroom cabinet for days on end. It may be that our knobs are close together adding extra tension. Not my favorite Safety 1st product.

Pretty good
Ended up getting two of these for different areas of the house. My son at age 6yrs figured it out, but for some reason when we turned it around he hasn’t been able to figure it out again. Works great for our 21 month old.

While it’s not the most visually pleasing thing it works great. Opens quickly and easily (we also bought the old version without the decoy button and that one was way really hard to open). This one just pops open easily and the decoy tricks the kids. This was the only child lock option I could find that worked for my double closet doors as pictured and it works perfectly.

This item arrived very fast and worked as described. Very easy to install (just disconnect the two halves, click a button on each piece to remove the loop cables then pull the cable around your door handles and feed the loop cables back through the original secure holes then click the two halves back together). The product is made from hard plastics and feels very sturdy. It can be opened one-handed by an adult but needs two hands to slide the two halves back together. Make sure it clicks back together to ensure that it’s securely locked. The loop cables have a safe jagged shape to them which prevents them from slipping out once you pull them tight. The fake button works really well to misguide my 7 year old son. Even when he tried, he couldn’t get his finger and thumb around the top and bottom of the large lock to open the secret flexible sides as his hands were too small and weak. To be fair, he does have fine-motor skill difficulties so maybe a normal child with full grip strength can open it one handed but we found that our child struggled. He’s tried to brute force it by pulling hard on the cupboard handles with all his weight but the lock remains secure, compared to the three previous different locks which all broke. So far we are very happy with this decoy lock and it’s reduced a lot of the stress of trying to keep our hungry pantry robber out while trying to cook at the same time. Now we can just cook knowing that he’s not going to get into the cupboard and make a mess or eat wrong the foods. We will now try a similar lock in this Outsmart range to secure our medicine cabinet doors too.

These are very easy to install and so far, our 19 month old (who figures out all baby proofing…) hasn’t figured this out! We’ll see if he does later, but the mechanism to open it isn’t apparent and I think it’s very intelligently built. The “outsmart” outlet shields didn’t work at all, but these are great
